I got to say this is one of the nicest looking figures out there. I love the F-117 stealth fighter alt-mode and his robot mode is even better. He looks like some sort of ninja and the head mold is one of the coolest I've ever seen.

The only gripe I have about him is the combination with Skystalker. Its kinda..stupid. All he does is attach to the top of Mindwipe in Jet mode, making some sort of flying fortress. You would think Hasbro would have done something neater but its whatever.

Also do the Chinese/Cybertronian markings on the wings mean anything? I know on Prime, his Chinese characters mean 'Big General'

I think Mindwipe simply has Cybertronian characters. And it is 'Shanghai General', not 'Big General' on Voyager Optimus Prime

The fan mode, bot combination of the two looks pretty snazzy, though...

It' not really even a combination. It's just a stealth bomber that can carry a drone, in that sense it looks decent. A combination would be more like Dreadwind and Smokejumper. Where Smokejumper actually slots into Dreadwind becoming part of his alt mode.
