DX9, the alter ego of Unique Toys, take another swing at a Transformers Masterpiece-scaled robot with D06 Carry, a toy paying homage to the Autobots’ post-Optimus leader, Rodimus Prime. DX9 have been doing very well of late, their Invisible figure was superb, Chigurh was a recent favourite of mine, their War in Pocket line is blossoming and now they take a hugely ambitious stab at an all-in-one Generation 1 styled Rodimus Prime, inspired by the anime stylings of Japanese art group Studio Ox.

As usual Maz, excellent review and excellent pictures. I'm very much looking forward to this guy coming out and having him in my collection. The Studio Ox influence is so great on this figure, and he does a tremendous job of just being Rodimus.

Thanks so much! And I couldn't agree more, plus it's so much more impressive in hand despite all the flaws I outlined. Even though I have this now, I'd still take an MP-9 into my collection happily and would no way see the figures as competing for the same spot.

Cant help but notice your article has pics of Carry scaled next to Unique Toys Ordin. Is it possible to post a few pictures of Ordin scaled next to Feral Rex and Hercules in a future thread ? Im on the fance about Ordin because of scale. I hate Warbotron height but totally dig Feral Rex/Hercules height. Need to see how far off Ordin is between the two scales. Thanks in advance.
