Anything from Generation 1 all the way to the soon to be released, the never to be released or the hope to be released is fair game! Want to show off your stuff? Please post your's and see others in the Transformers Collections Forum.

I just received my Battle Blades Optimus Prime that my friend bought me for my birthday from Kmart dot com. Not only did it arrive 2 weeks late after she paid for expedited shipping, IT ISN'T EVEN THE RIGHT TOY!!! :BOOM: Its the crappy repaint of the crappy old Voyager Prime mould, Defender Prime. (And yes, she DID order the right toy)

I was scared when she said she got it from Kmart after what Ryan went through, but ye gods.

I hope they let me return it, as the box is bashed to hell because they used a huge packing box with no packing whatsoever. :BANG_HEAD:

Man, no wonder is KMart is going out of business! I've heard nothing but horror stories about online, and the last time I was in a KMart, I felt like I was in the ghetto!

I have a friend who works at a K-sears. She really advised me not to ever buy from the online store. She advised me not to go into the regular store unless I had to. It's like walking into a morgue. But she'll keep me posted on anything I'm looking for.

I'm not holding my breath, since when does K-mart the store get anything at all?

Have any of you had any luck returning the messed up orders and getting the correct items?

It is my birthday today so I opened my other parcels, it seems K Mart was setting a trend in getting me the wrong things, lol. Not one thing I asked for, I can see they tried to get the right thing, just messed up. Sigh.

My local Krack-Mart is like that too. The floor tile is old and cracked and yellowed, it smells funny, things are always in disarray, and most of the people shopping there are ancient or disabled. It's really depressing. And to top it all off, they have the nerve to charge MORE than MSRP, more than other retailers. Aren't they supposed to be a "discount" department store? The difference between K-Mart and Target (or Walmart) is night and day.

I agree wholeheartedly with every poster, although I've never tried the online Kmart. Seems easier to find better deals elsewhere.

BUT,

My local Kmart usually has some of the older Transformer figures that other stores have stopped carrying altogether. I use them as a last resort, simply because it does seem a little creepy in there.

K-mart has benefited me a couple of times:
1-they had the Ice Cream twins right away.
2-they had the PCC two months before any other store in my area
3-they had a Divebomb on shelf after everybody else stopped carrying him.

I refuse to shop online there, but every once in a while, their lackluster habits benefit the shopper.

I ordered WFC Soundwave and Megatron from them last week got them yesterday and it was WFC Prime and BB. I was really upset with that. Online is my only choice for Kmart as here in Houston they have just about all closed. The closest one is 45 minutes from me and its just not worth the drive. I may be mistaken but I thought that WFC Soundwave and Megatron are Kmart Exclusives. It that correct?

Soundwave and Megatron are general releases. I got my Megatron at TRU and I just saw him at Wal-mart today.

Kmart used to be something special, especially when we had a Super Kmart nearby (when that new facility opened, still in Walmart Supercenter's infancy, it was glorious). They started to go down in the late 90s and early 2000s when they hit bankruptcy.

When the Sears-Kmart merger was announced in 2004, I had hopes that Sears would be able to raise the Kmart brand back to some level of prominence. As it turns out, the opposite happened: Kmart brought Sears down to crappy levels, and Kmart themselves sank lower. Sears has lost quality of both merchandise and the physical store - it feels like a Kmart. And Kmarts are old, grungy, run down...makes me feel like I'm in the wrong part of town.

I've only been in Kmart once or twice this year. I had decided to add some MiniCons to Universe Unicron, so I went to Kmart to see if they still had any of the Universe 10-packs. They did. Over half a dozen of them were warming the shelves. Heaven forbid they have them marked down to get rid of them. I had to pay full price for a shelfwarmer that wasn't going anywhere in the near future.

I now avoid both Kmart and Sears like the plague.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about that whole Kmart bankruptcy thing. That does seem to explain why Kmarts are so crappy.

Still, I wouldn't discount Kmart stores altogether. For patient bargain shoppers, they're the best place to go! Eventually all their exclusives go on clearance. Earlier this summer I got the ROTF Legends 4-pack for $6 - originally marked from $25. And right after Botcon, all their exclusives were marked down, too. Too bad I felt like I had to pass on them... cause really, I shouldn't have even bought the rare variant Animated Voyager Prime with the shoulder Autobot symbol for a whopping $8.

Ohh Lord I remember that. Hasbro had the decision to make a Supreme toy between That pile of crap or a Supreme Animated Omega Supreme. Again Hasbro made the wrong Decision.

A progress report...

I spent an hour on the phone with a Kmart representative. Managed to get the shipping refunded. Turns out they do not have any Battle Blades Primes in stock at all, they have used the same warehouse number for all voyager primes, probably the same with generations.

I am going to head to the local Kmart today to get the money back on this thing.

Ordered it from BBTS anyway, lol

If I remember right, the first Animated Supreme, Rollout Command Optimus Prime didn't sell too well. Go figure. Would you rather have run the risk of retailers not ordering Omega because they still have Prime to deal with than release a Supreme in the movie line which has a better chance of seeing shelf space?

The reason TFA Rollout OP didn't sell well was because he made no sense. He was the forth OP figure in that line(not including anything under deluxe class), he didn't scale with anything, and he had a terrible gimmick. If they felt the need to make a supreme class figure for TFA it should have been Omega Supreme. Fans would have been fighting each other to get him. Instead they went with yet another OP, that no one wanted. As for supreme class ROTF Devy, they were going to make that no matter what.
