I received my Knight Morpher Commander about a month ago, but haven't had a chance to transform him until today, when I noticed a problem: the gray piece that covers his shin on one leg has been assembled upside down, thereby making it impossible to rotate his foot all the way out into "robot mode".
The piece is attached with a screw on each side, which would be easy enough to deal with, except one screw is entirely inaccessible thanks to the piece that holds the train wheels in place. Does anyone who owns one of these have thoughts on how to fix this without damaging this generally fragile figure? Or perhaps someone knows of a way to get ahold of the designer for his thoughts? Thanks, guys.

Your best bet is to contact the retailer you bought him from and see if they will exchange for a new one. Most reputable online retailers will do this.
