An interesting new listing has surfaced on the Toyz and Gamez online store. The store lists a repaint of the Deluxe Barricade figure, from the Transformers Movie toyline.
No other information is given, other than the tentative shipping date of August. See the listing here

I really didn't care for the original much at all. I may have only had him for the majority of today, but I'm not looking forward to any repaints. Even if they do it in cool colors. lol.

I doubt Soundwave, they already said they would probably save him for a sequel, and would they release one character using one mold and alt mode only to completely change him in the next film?
I wonder if being released as a figure for movie 1 excludes a character from being in a possible sequel? I wonder if there is a logic to it...

I only have 2 movie figs right now(that'll change come Friday:). One is Wreckage who I love, and is (in my collective) a Megatron. I also have Barricade, and I have to say, HE IS HORRIBLE!
He's short, wide, and ugly. He doesn't stand well, and his arms are pointless. Add the fact that Frenzy is just pointless, and I can honestly tell you, I am not intrested in any repaint of this figure.
I just hope the rest of the movie figs are more like Wreckage.

Wonder if it will be a G1 repaint for Prowl/Smokescreen/Bluestreak, or just a plain repaint with as a Movie Autobot with an Autobot Badge and a generic name...

I hope its not Prowl. While I may not have Barricade yet, I'm sure I would at least partly agree with Evilmus. In my opinion, Barricade is worth getting because he's in the movie. To me, the mold, while basically weak, still "screams" Decepticon. A repaint might work as another `Con, but not Prowl.
Maybe if its not just a repaint, but also a remold to address the weaknesses of the mold, THEN it would be worth getting. We'll see.

If they do that, whatever they redo Frenzy as better get a new head too, and possibly new arms. Otherwise he'll still look like he's waiting for you to fall asleep so he can peel you skin off, and that's really a bad look for an Autobot.

I agree with all of this. Another Con cop would be great, but I'd bet $1 that this will be 'Prowl".
