judging from what the Collector's Club panel jokingly said last night, they may end up end as club exclusives... maybe...
... I hope.
Then again, every year they basically say "They're on the way", but every year it's the same 'ol thing, or else I would have the set in my hands right now.

This is all too much to take in at one sitting. But that guy at Morphicon was right! There will be more Classics! YAY!! All this news about the animated series is good, I knew it couldn't be all bad. I love that there will be more Robot Heroes, I love those things. Too bad for Titaniums & Alternators though, I would've loved to see Soundwave. And for once in like......20 years, Galvatron isn't a Megatron re-paint!! YAY!! Cannon mode, that's all he should have though. Never really liked the gun mode. Maybe there is hope for Arcee after all. Who knows...........you have made me very happy though Ryan. Thanks to you.

Just doing the math and given that they've said they'll do around the same number of toys in Classics 2/Universe as there were in Classics they've pretty much anounced or hinted at most of the line right there.
Vovagers:
Ultra Magnus,
Galvatron.
Deluxe:
Jazz (Stepper repaint potential),
Prowl (Bluestreak and Smokescreen retool potential) those repaints assuming that Jazz and Prowl aren't variations of the same mould,
Sideswipe,
Sunstreaker,
(Arcee),
(Cosmos),
Octane,
Blitzwing (Overcharge repaint potential),
(Shockwave),
Sunstorm(?).
Throw in some basic (love to see updated Insecticons) and sub-basic price point figs, a recoloured (and please, oh please slightly retooled to give 5 different bots) Bruticus as a store exslusive to bring the cons numbers up a bit and another exclusive or two and that'll pretty much be the whole line.
Of course it's (very) early days with this. We may not see those cancelled Titaniums at all and it'll probably be around this time next year before we're getting a good look at the actual toys. All things considered though thats not a bad (potential) line up to pimp up the Classics line.

holy ****. After sitting through that and getting home i thoroughly **** my pants with joy. Classics 2.0? F*** YEAH!!! animated being ALOT like g1? holy ****, the art doesn't bother me now that I've heard from them specifically what the show will be like. This is all some very good news, hell I think I'll bust out some of my 4th of july fireworks out now.
(on a side note, I kinda am disapointed i didn't bump into seibs, but theres always next year.)

If I recall correctly, I'm pretty sure they said there weren't going to be any Voyager class figures in the Transformers Universe (Classics 2.0) line and that the larger figures would be Ultra class. They mentioned that it didn't seem to make a lot of sense to do Voyagers and Ultras in that line because they're relatively close to the same size. Octane and Galvatron would be Ultra class figures.

Classics was likely changed to Universe because calling them "classics" was looking too much in the past as if they're admitting a mistake with new designs. Those are two things corporations don't like to do: look to the past, and admit a mistake.
I'm willing to give the Animated line a chance. I rarely watch TV anyway, but I found the last few incarnations of Transformers to be incredibly banal and below my intelligence. If they can offer something that's more like Beast Wars or even the first couple seasons of Batman Animated, I'll be pleased. As one person said, it all comes down to the toys.
Robot Heroes are a big hit = DUH. My local Wal-Mart had two columns full of them and they were empty in a week. The next shipment lasted about two weeks. I hadn't seen a response that big since Classics were first released. Not even the movie line is selling as fast as those little guys.
I'd like a little more stylized Arcee for the Clas—I mean Universe line. One whose hips don't look like she's retaining water.
I highly suspect the alt mode for Universe Galvatron will be a cannon, since that was his primary alt mode in the old cartoon and guns are a little too hard to get away with in America. It's easier to get a real gun in America than it is to get a decent Transformer that looks like a gun.
"Realistic Transformations," next line "one will have a "Tazmanian Devil-like Transformation." Yeah, because that's realistic...
That's all the notes I can remember for now.

The Animated stuff sounds great, from what's listed here. And it makes me happy that they're continuing Classics. I think figures like Galvatron, Sideswipe and Sunstreaker should have been done to begin with; I'm just glad they're getting done at all though.

My vote for the HOF goes to my favorite Transformer, Kup, to the Headmasters (who still need new figures that aren't just the characters without their master components) and to seibertron.com for for being the ultimate TF resource.

I agree. If they're relatively close to the same size, there's no point in doing both Voyager and Ultra. Seems to me like Ultra would be a bit more expensive than Voyager, but if the quality is the same as "Classics 1.0", my being willing to pay a bit more for the good stuff is pretty much a gimme.

YAY!
Just... YAY!
Classics is the only line I've bought almost all of. I'm looking forward to more of it!
While I'm not sure how I feel about the "squash and stretch" animation look for the cartoon- ti DOES sound like they've been listening, and are going back to "good stories" and "strong characters."
THeir complete disinterest in continuing the movie line past a couple figs is also heartening.
As far as the cartoon toys go, look at it this way. For all the crazy bendy action the cartoon might have, the toys are made of plastic, and thus will retain the robot (i'm made of metal and such) look.

Optimus Prime is the one with the Tasmanian Devil transformation. You could see him still transforming though while he was spinning around. We also saw another transformation sequence with Prime that looked more like what we are used to. Both transformations were pretty slick.
