LockDown Animated toy problem

Postby kdo » Thu Mar 18, 2010 10:13 pm

Hey,

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong area, or a really silly question. This is my first post. :P

I live in Canada and i just purchased a LockDown Animated figure (the one with the hook arm). In any case the toy was in perfect condition EXCEPT that the hook part of the arm attachment was missing. The box did not seem tampered with and the hook is only small (about half an inch big).

My question is did anyone else have a missing hook?
or
Is there any hope of me writing an email to get a replacement (if so to who)?

Returning the toy is not an option as the box is not in returnable condition.

Thanks!

I haven't heard of any others missing the hook, though I'm sure it's not uncommon. You won't have any luck emailing Hasbro for the missing part. Best bet would be to return him, but according to your post that's not possible.

Arg

That sucks as aside from the hook issue he is a really interesting figure. Hasbro has no love for customer service eh? Shame

Maybe i'll improvise a new hook... :P

I find the hook a bit silly anyways. It's all about the engine blaster :)

Yah true.

I'll look on the bright side of things. He could be missing something worse and he was $5 off to begin with as Wal-Mart was having a sale.

I tried contacing Hasbro when I lost one of Universe Onslaught's guns. A few days later I got a response basically saying that there wasn't anything that they could do. You can try contacting them, but you are probably sol.

Yah,

I guess they don't have 1,000 extra pieces to figures sitting around. It sucks that they wouldn't do anything at all to help thou. I'd take a free whopper coupon, but no luck i guess haha.

Maybe i will try an email, just for laughs. Would there be a specific email to use or should i just contact whatever email is listed on the Hasbro web page?

To be honest, between Wal*mart, London Drugs, Zellers, Loblaws (GCSS) and TRU, there are still a good number of Lockdowns (regular and blazing) out there. For the trouble it would be to try and get a replacement which I doubt Hasbro Canada will help you with. Just go buy a second one.

Better yet if you have Ratchet, you can give the second engine blaster (back) to him.

How did that happen? I didn't even know they could come off...

This, pretty much. I don't suppose you live in the Greater Vancouver area, do you kdo? If so there was a busted Lockdown at Metropolis Comics and Toys at Metrotown Mall in Burnaby. He was missing a hand, but the hook was intact. Probably going for pretty cheap.

Nope, i live on the other side of the country >>> Nova Scotia. I appreciate the heads up thou, that would have been awesome to find!

Maybe I'll try to buy another, as i said Wal-Mart here is selling all Deluxe figures for $10 instead of $15.

The funny thing is they are selling Rotf Legend figures for $7 and the larger Scout figures for less ($5)

That is pretty weird. I guess they can't have all the TFs on sale.

Well, hopefully you'll find another, good luck!

Also picked a Bludgeon and Ironhide voyager from the same Zellers sale

AND
I Jiggled that LD box around until i saw a hook in it for sure! and there was.... guess my first lockdown gets 2 engine blasters now! haha

You know, when I sent my Classics MP Optimus Prime back to Hasbro because it was missing the Matrix, they reimbursed me retail price!
