I thought I would post this. I'm sure it's been posted before. But I remember back in the day when it took me no time at all to transform a figure. Now of recent, I've found that it's not as easy as it was. I remember being able to transform without even looking at the instructions, but I can't seem to do that anymore with the newer stuff, i.e. the DOTM figs. So I wanted to know, how long did it take you to transform one figure? It took an hour one time for me, and that's not breaking a piece off. I've broken pieces off trying to get something to move, not being sure if it's meant to move with the transformation or not.

The longest time for me is 30 mins. Damn HFTD Ironhide is difficult to transform! :BANG_HEAD:

Post 2006, Transformers started to be made out of weaker plastic compared to the brick style of Cybertron and the past lines. Transformations are also more complicated in the movie verse than in any other toy line. But the Transformer with the longest transforming time is still Unicron for me.

At least 20 minutes for Leader Sentinel Prime. That thing drove me absolutely nuts the first few times transforming him.

However, I had a hell of a time converting HA Bumblebee, too, and the same with HFTD Leader Optimus, but I never checked the time for them.

He is ridiculously hard to transform. He's also prone to falling over and just being displayed in the box.

He's breakable too. Gotta be real careful when you transform him. It's the one time when you want to make sure you have the instruction out and even then you'll have a hard time.

When Michael Bay passed over Frank Welker for the Megatron role in the first Transformers film, Frank was furious and cast a horrible curse on the good people of Hasbro, and by proxy, Takara. Takara, after consulting with a fortune teller, learned that the only way to appease the evil spirit haunting their company is to pass the curse on to someone else.

Thus, MP-05 Megatron was born. Now we all share that curse.

Took me over an hour to transform MP Megs the first time WITH the instructions...

I think I spent over an hour trying to transform ROTF leader Prime the first time without instructions. I don't think I finished either...wasn't able to figure out the arms/front of the truck. Maybe I woulda figured it out eventually, but it was also like 2am and I was dead ass tired by the time I gave up and went to bed.

It still takes me a solid fifteen minutes to transform my MP Megs, but the longest I've ever taken was actually my first transformation of Armada Unicron (ridiculous, in hindsight as there's not much to it)which took me an hour (in my defense it was like six AM Christmas morning, my mental faculties were not all there).
For anyone who cares, shortest transformation time goes to the Spychangers (I'm best with the mold used for RiD Crosswise, everything just seems to fit) who I can get into vehicle mode faster than I can play an audio file of the transformation sound.

I've never transformed my MP Megatron in fear of damaging him.

Longest time would be the first time I transformed Leader ROTF Optimus. It was my first time ever transforming a Transformer and I clearly picked the wrong one to start with.

I don't remember how long it took me to transform MP Megs, but it was long. Even after the first few tims it took a while.

It still takes a bit to transform him, but only because I want to be careful and not break anything.

Never had any trouble with Unicron. Dunno what the big deal is.

The Alternators I have took a while. Mainly because I try never to look at the instructions when I transform them. Finding these things out on my own is part of the fun.

I nearly got into a fistfight with LC Jetfire, his transformation is a pain. Took me about 20 min.

Movie 07 leader megs. took me bout 1 hour to transform with instructions :lol:

Movie 07 blackout. 45 minutes... well i took 15 minutes till i got the the legs... took me half an hour to realize they rotate :roll:

(i bought the 2 pack with scorponok so it came in bot mode)

it took me forever to transform rotf prime. the dotm figs arent hard to transform they are just a pain in the ass.

I spent quite a bit of time last night transforming DOTM Leader SP. ROTF Leader OP takes a while, too.

HFTD voyager Ironhide and I had a serious discussion before I finally got him transformed. I'll display him in robot mode for the rest of his life.

I haven't even attempted ROTF leader Prime, thankfully he came packaged in robot mode.

Not counting the first few transformations of any figure, I'd say the longest transformation sequence once you know what you are doing is shared between MP Megatron and ROTF Leader Prime.

ROTF Mixmaster! took me near 30mins to go from bot mode to alt mode. After that it would be Jetfire, not only transforming from bot mode to alt mode, but getting him to stay attached to LC OP is another story. It's a good thing i dont own these anymore.

The ridiculous time it takes to transform some transformers has really turned me off buying more of them, lately. RiD was ridiculous (with the exception of Prime and the repaints). Side Burn took me like an hour. It seemed like they were improving with Armada, but it's gotten worse since. With the first movie, I stuck with FABs as much as I could, and I'm happy I did.

Animated was much better, for the most part.

I've only been buying since ROTF, so I haven't transformed all that many, but...

ROTF Leader Prime
ROTF Leader Jetfire - I could never get that slight upward bend out of the plane's nose!
HA Sideswipe - I hate that figure! I can't get him into car mode properly and his head keeps falling off!

I didn't think ROTF Mixmaster was crazy-difficult, but it was a little tricky!

I tell ya what, after all these MP-05 horror stories (here and elsewhere), that is one figure I'll probably NEVER buy!

Cybertron Primus: 2 Hours :HEADHURTS:

Well, for a few of my DOTM toys (e.g Bumblebee, Ratchet) I didn't need the instructions. I looked at both modes on the box and figured out where each piece went. Afterwards I checked the instructions to make sure I didn't mistransform him, like some boxes has them to be.
