Really like the pictures of this figure. Very posable and looks good with the classics. I think the best thing about this soundwave is the face, actually looks like him. I will pick this up though also curious what the soundblaster will look like in November.

Question - Is the SDMini Card included?

We heard reports that it wasn't but I saw pictures with of a SD card with a Decepticon logo on it.

The miniSD card is NOT included. I bought mine separately that see used in the Music Label Soundwave galleries.

the lack of movable sets of fingers is the only thing that keeps me from considering this a "Masterpiece Soundwave"!

From everything I've read no its not included but you know what that sounds like a cool Repo label to make, something that fits on a miniSD card with either the Autobot or Decepticon logos, perhaps some other graphics to make it look like a tape, or key or something. Definately would be cool.

So how much did you peeps spend on yours?

I wonder if they'll make one for Blaster? That would be really cool.

Blaster is the orange Autobot Tape Player, you are thinking of Soundblaster, which is the black Soundwave repaint.

That would actually be pretty cool. A little retooling and you've got a nice looking mp3 playing Blaster.

Genius...the fact that it doesnt come with a mini SD card maks me mad...(bringing the figure total to 120 bucks)...But that doesnt mean I dont want it!

being a sound engineer - how's the player actually sound? i have read mixed reviews on it being a pretty poopy mp3 player..
where as the controls (or lack there of) doesn't bother me, but if it doesn't sound good, i'm not interseted. and i understand mp3 coding and kb's.. if you put a decently encoded mp3 file, does it sound as good as say the ipod or psp sounds with the same file?

You just had to put pics on the thread page didnt you. Even though ive seen 2 pics im still not looking. I cant look. From what ive seen though the figure looks awsome and i will be getting one during the 2nd run when i have money. Think ill get the soundblaster one. I have alot of soundwaves.

Ah, this will be my 4th Soundwave, and the best. Man, I can't wait! I wish A3U was a little quicker with their shipping.

Also need to update my archives at home with fresh, crisp pictures from Seibertron.com.

I'm also curious as to its quality as an Mp3 player. I don't have an Mp3 player yet (I've been covetting my wife's since Christmas) and if this is as good or almost as good as a comparably priced nontransforming Mp3 player I'll probably get it.

I've heard it's not so great, but whatever, it's Soundwave!

Who says Soundwave is uncrasimatic?

Hmm, I just realized the card I have is SD, not mini. Doh!

It sounded great to me. I listened to the opposite Soundwave of what I was taking a photogallery of. I probably listened to around 20 songs or so while I was doing the photos. Using the same Sony earbuds that I use with my Dell laptop, it sounded just fine. In fact, I was surprised that it sounded just as good as my laptop.

The Frenzy/Rumble headphones are crap though (I did listen to a song with those on). I didn't try to use the headphones that came with Soundwave. I imagine those are crap as well. I'll use my $40 Sony earbuds that I absolutely love.

If I could figure out how to make the songs play in a random order, I would actually use Soundwave as an actual player. Unfortunately, he doesn't appear to have this option. I keep hoping that someone will discover a button pattern that you can press to get the songs to play randomly.

Nothing in the manual along those lines.

i'm surprised instead of having his tapedeck be for the card....they didnt make it an LCD screen. they could have easily found a way for the card to be inserted from the back or something. but then with an LCD, you'd probably have all the play options normal players have these days. and also, how cool would it be to have a screen on his chest. lol
