Target on Vets has the newest wave of Seige figures (Brunt, Refractor, etc.) as well as the newest wave of Studio Series figures (Helicopter Drift, HighTower, etc.). There was also one set of the Siege Rainmakers there.

I picked up High Tower. Still on the lookout for Long Haul.

If anyone is still looking for a Jetfire or not wanting to pay $80, they can be found at some Walmarts for $45.

The short version is that the Prarieville store has them marked down to $45 and had one left. I saw on brickseek.com that Denham Springs and Plaquemine has them marked down as well. No clue if they have any in stock, but you may have to have them check in the back as it seems the stores don't have a spot for them.

Thanks for the heads-up, cary. I went shopping around for a Jetfire. Prairieville was out when I got there. Denham only had one in stock and I bought that. Not sure about Plaquemine as I didn't go out there.

I also saw one pack of Seekers at the Target on Millerville if anyone is looking for that.

I'm thinking the low stock listings on brickseek are just placeholders. Every wm in Baton Rouge is a ghost town. I'll check again on Wednesday hoping for stock rotations.

I saw that you can order G1 Astrotrain via the WM app for store pickup. I was at a store today and didn't see it, but you may get lucky. I've checked a few stores and it shows up at $39.73.

Just found G1 Astrotrain at central walmart. It was the only one there and it rang up as $54 at the register(includes tax).

Thanks for the tip Cary. They've been showing up on brickseek as in stock but no one sees to know where they are. I just ordered one for pickup on Oneal so hopefully that works out!

So I've got a bit of light to shed on the situation, at least locally.

My mom used to be fairly high up at American Greetings and Winn Dixie and knows several New Orleans-area WM store managers. She was able to confirm that most WM stores in the area (and I'm assuming BTR) are serviced by Hasbro merchandisers, not actual WM staff. The discounted pricetag was likely put in to put the items into the store's inventory, before the stores themselves count inventory before their Spring resets. Many stores only have 1-2 items on hand, and may be on the merchandiser's cart, but aren't intending to be put out until the reset hits.

Interestingly enough, if you happen to luck out and do an in-store pickup of a discounted Astrotrain, if it's the only one remaining the price will revert back to $49 (after yours processes). Also, not all stores actually have the 1-2 in stock. It took me 5 attempts this morning to get one in the Baton Rouge area that didn't get canceled after an hour or so for being out of stock.
