And we can definitely agree to disagree on Classics Astrotrain.

Do trains perform drift stunts and donut-spins where you live? Coz they only go forward and sometimes backward on rails here.

WAT.
This would have to be pretty damn impressive to make me want to replace Henkei Astrotrain. That picture isn't giving me much hope, though.

Speculating V-Voyager Class for this 3rd party Atrotrain is also wrong. Hoping this toy is in scale with the Eight inch tall robot mode MP Seekers. Dare I dream bigger.
Guessing it's a language confusion or Overseas companies don't know what sizes classes qualifies for HasTak robot heights inches.

Always found the different alt modes interesting. As it had a old school locomotive train meets new school space ship.

Yeah, the idea is cool, but it does lead to some hilariously off scale. When one of your alt modes is several times bigger than the other, you know you dun goofed.
(Still better than Broadside though...)

Chimungmung.com list Toyworld Devilstar Astrotrain with a 22.5 cm robot mode. Which translates into a 8.9 inch robot mode. http://chimungmung.com/product_info.php ... ts_id=2103 Which translates into a Leader class robot height toy.

Honestly, I think the cartoon moel for Astrotrain was seriously ugly, mainly due to the featurelessness and the horrendous (and incorrect) colours. The chest wing made him look a lot more visually interesting. But hey, maybe the wing can tuck away on this one.Rated X wrote:Not crazy about the chest wing because he didnt have one in the cartoon. I hope so. I just dont like the look of the chest wing. It looks like something that could easily get ripped off in battle, and I think the cartoon artists might have thought the same thing when they chose to elimimate it. Also I love the grey and purple cartoon deco. Once again, I think the cartoon artists took great liberties in changing the decos or aesthetics of toys that looked too much like toys for the cartoon. The purple stuck out like a sore thumb on the white toy deco. The grey blended in much better and completed the evil Decepticon look. If a shuttle isnt going to be all white like real life, might as well give it cool colors. I love the Blast Off brown deco too, especially with the purple front which the vintage toy did not have.

Just hoping this toy is Ultra class or bigger.
Looking at the new pic. It appears the wing can fold up into the chest.

The name of the Third party creating this toy is called, Machine Boy.
Several clever TFW forum members. Recognized the newest pic of this toy was standing in front of a, Fans projects Madlaw box. Some TFW members took several toys and came to the conclusion that this Third party Astrotrain will be a Voyager class robot mode. A small voyager like 1.0 Voyager Optimus. Not a big Voyager like UT Mania king.

Since this Third party has yet to release a newer TF toy. Only teases and rarely releases anything like that Sky Lynx and Omega Supreme art pics. Think the chances of this Astrotrain toy not getting released is high.
Noticed a pattern with all these brand new Third parties teasing more pics and releasing no toys.

I'll wait for comparison pictures, but for me, it's either the same height as Generations Blitzwing or bust. I already have the recent Hasbro Asia 3-pack Astrotrain, which serves fine as a stand in until a Blitzwing-scaled/sized version comes along.
