finally I had the time to do some pictures of my custom combiner, Nova Maximus, and I decided to use the pics for opening my collection thread!
With the arrive of the second First Aid (the first one being on Defensor) I decided to do some minor custom on him.
After I found out that Smolder's head is compatible, I took mine (since I'm exposing him as single bot, I didn't really needed the combiner's head) and shortened the antennas a little (they were too long to fit the chest cavity) and made a new character out of him (I still need to find a name, but I'm gonna search out for the members of the first Ark, according to the IDW comics).
The head resulted a bit loose, but using a small piece of paper resolved any issue.
My only other concern about the combiner is about his silver hand.
My original idea was to get CW Smokescreen (since I miss a CHUG version of the character) and use his hand accessory on the combiner.
But I was thinking also giving the combiner some special power (like Galvatronus has mind control abilities, and Victorion got control over gravity): basically, Nova Maximus could syphon the energies from the Dead Universe into the hand, shooting a death ray from it.
The lore of the combiner:
after the Ark I with Nova Prime, Galvatron, Jihaxus and their crew got captured into the Dead Universe, they had a crash during the landing. Galvatron got the biggest damage, and in order to keep him alive, Jihaxus transplanted his spark and head into Cyclonus body, making him Galvatron's host.
After starting to comprehend and getting control over the Dead Universe, Nova Prime and Jihaxus found that the best way to fully exploit the universe's energies were to use them throught combination. So Jihaxus used the survivors of the crew to create two combiner squads for Nova Prime and Galvatron. The first squad would give a power up and more control on the energies of the Dead Universe to Nova Prime, while the second one would have given Galvatron a new body that he could control by himself.
After the two combiners were completed, using their new powers they managed to exit the alternative dimension they were reclused, with all the intention to complete their conquest projects across the galaxy!
The Combiner Wars will reach their climax, with the arriving of this two multiverse conquerors! Only the stronger will survive!
