I'm not sure if we already have a thread for it, but according to posts on Maketoys' facebook page, it looks like Computron will be coming up soon.

It's been mentioned in other threads that they've hinted at it (as have TFC) but no, I do not believe it has a thread of its own.

FYI, in addition to the Technobots, TFC has also teased concept art of Abominus/Terrorcons.

We may end up with yet another Maketoys vs TFC war as we did with Devastator.

Seeing that teaser of Computron reminds me of the quote from Star Trek VI:

[after Kirk wins a fight against an alien twice his size]
Martia: They'll respect you now.
Kirk: That's a comfort. I was lucky that thing had knees.
Martia: That was not his knee.
[Kirk looks at Martia in surprise]
Martia: Not everyone keeps their genitals in the same place, Captain.

If there's any comfort to this, it's hoping that Giant-sized teams won't go past the $300 - 350 mark (thus more affordable) and MakeToys did a really great job on Giant with only a few QC issues. I don't think there's room to release any other combiner projects like they did Giant ("limited edition" 2-packs, followed by a different colored set - great so they could address any QC issues before final release), but hopefully they've learned enough from previous projects that there won't be any detriment to the figures.

Timing would be best for Fall 2013 or early 2014, considering they still need to release the 3 Mobine sets, YOTS Omega Supreme add-on, and (what I believe should be their priority) more from their Minibotsu line-up.

This will be an easy pass for me, I am a Herc guy after all :D

When I was a kid playing with my Aerialbots and Stunticons I always wished they were the same size as my other tf's. Giant brings back the feelings of disappointment with the smaller size unfortunately. I always dreamed of gestalts that towered over my other tf's.

And if these guys are designed by the same person as Giant then there is a good chance they will be ugly as sin. The Giant figures, and Giant himself, are not something I like to look at (just my opinion) and think were under engineered (Devy head as Not-Hooks foot anyone =; ). TFC's offerings are slightly over priced tbh ($90 would be a better price) but so far they have gotten things the way I prefer.

TFC and MMC will most likely be the one's I'll wait on to do the gestalts I want. Hope this guy looks nice though.

And that's all that matters, right? ;)

I have to laugh at how any/every gestalt thread renews the Herc vs. Giant debate. Will it ever end?

For you maybe.

What debate, you're the one bring that up. I was merely explaining why this will be a pass for me.

Last time I checked, we are allowed to do that ;)

I'm super excited for a Computron. He's my favorite combiner along with Abominus. My MP Grimmy needs a Computron upgrade. My G1 doesn't really cut it anymore.

+1 internet point for getting a Furmanism in your post :)

I hope they don't take pre-orders on this thing for at least 6 months. Too many other TFs draining my wallet right now :(

Cool! I'll get stoked when I see it though. Considerign their non-Earth modes I would hope do see some interesting designs on the figures.
