It comes with a new shoulder section for "Dumptruck"? What was wrong with them?

Well Maketoys had sent out a warning/information sheet with some know breakage problems with set B's figures. Most notably that if you moved things in the wrong order when turning "Crane" into Giant's head and upper body, you could snap the head clean off.

Also, "Dumptruck" had two panels on the front that were way too tight, causing them to break when you tried to fold them back, even with their warning to do it slowly. I took an exacto knife and shaved the problem area down so not they fold back nicely, but not without first putting some stress marks on it.

The third part shown is Dumptruck's shoulder/cab area. The sheet I got said nothing about issues with that, and I have not encountered any issues with it, which is why I was surprised they added those parts as well.

thanks for the pics.
looking a lot smaller than I'd imagined, but it's nice to have seen the range of movement (he can stand on one leg!) and it looks like a quality toy. just those comparison pics with WFC megatron, and the deluxe classics Prime make me think that whilst he's not small, he's not that big.

I opened set B this weekend and I can't see any reason for a replacement shoulder/cab area. It all seems so sturdy. The joints are tight but move really nicely and smoothly.

That's what I thought. If anything I would have thought "Crane" would have had replacements for his shoulders, as the ratchets on mine were so tight I was sure they'd break. Luckily after some careful manipulation they've loosened up enough that they don't require me to hold my breath.

tfsource is taking forever. The wait is painful.

Glad they are giving us all those replacement parts too. I haven't even tried to combine Set A and B yet, since it will be so much sweeter with all limbs.
As much as I defended Maketoys Giant before, I have to say this is the one TF in my collection where I am SUPER careful when handling/posing/transforming. The quality looks great but I feel its really fragile (i.e. Hooks hinged hip). I'm kinda scared to put him on my stand that is so high up :HALUC:
