Awwww....crap! *gets ready to sell half his collection on Ebay*
But I am looking forward to this guy!
Have you sold any of your collection on eBay yet?![]()
I feel like this has been a long time coming, Aggie. The accountant should be pleased!
Indeed, though she'd be happier if I didn't drop $400 right away...
Just need to clear away some of the kitchen spill over so I can set up a good place to take pics, then I should be off and running.

Now, do I ship my POL with Jetfire and Computron? A lot of stuff is slated to ship in October, but I don't think much of it will actually ship...

Funny that quantron stayed processing overnight, while overslay/haymaker dropped in my pile wednesday. Anybody else had that ? I might get this guy shipped real soon. A puchase of this stature should be inspected for QC issues quickly while they have extras in stock. Im sure they will go quick...

Yeah, mine processed all night too. I wonder if this is an indication of the popularity of this product... Maybe it was just a big shipment of overall stuff and it caused processing of preorders on a number of things to bleed over into today. A curiosity for sure. I don't remember this ever happening before.

Both Quantron and MMC's STAG Cleavers took overnight to process but have been finalized this morning. I was thinking maybe there was an issue in billing my credit card, or that maybe BBTS had issues with charging multiple $400 purchases at once. I really don't know.
As for shipping, I'm going to wait for Sigma L and then I'll ship. I'm still sorting through last month's loot w/the final 2 Ferocicons. These are tough times for me, indeed.

Well, Computron's reaction time was always pretty lagged due to overthinking.... right? Coincidence?

Re: Maketoys Quantron (not Computron)
anecdotal evidence for sure, but this is my first fully 3rd party combiner. If there's a lot of other people like me who've jumped on board because it's an awesome looking gift set then maybe that explains the delays both BBTS and TFSource are having dispatching them.
(of course, in my case it might just be because I'm shipping the set with 6 months worth of stuff all at the same time)

I try not to let "hot" items sit in my POL for too long. If the stock runs out and I get shipped a dud, then I cant get an exchange. I learned that with grind rod. Fortunately they had a restock on pre order and honered the original price I paid which had gone up. Gotta love BBTS customer service. They always take care of their customers.

took 24hours-ish to ship from me paying TFSource for them. God only knows when/if the post office will bother to deliver them once they reach these shores.

Indeed! At $430, I'm definitely not buying, but I can't help but be tempted.
Someone posted a picture of Quantron, MP Grimlock and MP Wheeljack together on Reprolabels FB page, and he looks good. That's what got me rethinking... but thanks for bringing me back, mooncake.

As soon as FP Mindwipe drops at BBTS, I'll be shipping my POL. I expect him in hand next week. Perhaps I'll have some pics to try and sell you...

So I got a twitchy finger and now Quantron has arrived via BBTS. The strange thing is, I got an additional packet in my shipping box for "Combiner Mode Improvement Part". I don't remember hearing about this yet, and I haven't opened the figure set yet.
Does anyone know what I'm looking at here?

After changing everybody from robot to alt mode, I'm about to work on the combination part. I realized that the "Combiner Mode Improvement Part" is a replacement neck piece for Celeritas. I can't notice any differences from the original part but decided to just go ahead and replace anyways.
All you need to do is open the chest piece of Celeritas and pull the whole neck mechanism out from the chest cavity by pulling apart the sides of the chest. From there, use a small Phillips screwdriver (I always go to the versatile one that I was given in the iGear Kup upgrade kit) to unscrew the back of Celeritas' head, pull the head out of the ball joint and pop into the new piece.
It didn't take too long for this. It will take me exponentially longer to figure out how to combine this fella. My favorite transformation of the group is Blindfire. My least favorite is SonicDrill.

I've been playing with this guy for a bit now. I agree with necr0blivion; the transformations are simple and fun, except for Drillbit, whom I will need to bust out the instructions, or watch a video. necr0blivion, was your combiner head really floppy out of the box? Did the new neck piece help solve this? I'm not in a location where I can easily swap the neck until I get back from my current business trip.
And then I'll try out my new camera (for eBay pics) and snap some of these guys. I really like them. They are a bit small and highly detailed for their size. But, between the bot modes and the alt modes (even the huge fendered car) I really like the look of this guy. I do wish the kibbled up Scattershot alt mode was a little more stable in the kibble, but I'm not complaining.
I don't remember if it was brought up before. Like FP Menasor, this guy has some rubber patches on the combiner feet. Nice touch!

Computron's head was stable out of the box. If you're referring to Celeritas' head (for which the replacement part is for), I didn't notice any difference using either the original piece or the replacement. However, I made the replacement prior to combining him in foot mode, so I can't tell you whether that made the situation better or not.
My biggest problem w/Celeritas is keeping the little orange bits under his feet connected to the spoiler when in foot mode.
Agamemnon wrote:I do wish the kibbled up Scattershot alt mode was a little more stable in the kibble, but I'm not complaining.
Agreed, he kinda falls apart. And it's really difficult to keep that underside cannon in place.

Yeah, that was VERY awesome for them to include. This should be a required part of ANY combiner.
