I'm pretty surprised myself at the lack of full reviews for this guy, seeing as how he is supposedly ready for retail. :???:

My guess is because the retailers arent going to give away $400 dollar gift sets to reviewers for free in exchange for free promotion to help generate sales. No need for that. The retailers know these sets will sell like hotcakes. Sorry reviewers, no free figures this time around. Youre gonna have to buy it like the rest of us, lol.

Guessing MT Computron won't get released on time. As 3rd party TF toys are more late in releases than they are on time.

speculating the MT Computron gift set youtube video reviews will come in a few weeks or a few days before the gift set gets released.

Remember the KFC Citizen and Tempest youtube videos took almost to the last few weeks of retail toy release.

My gut feeling agrees with you about Quantron's release; I waited an eternity for Paladin Chaos. My inner fanboy wants this yesterday.

Have you seen how professional photographers work? They can take thousands of photos in a few hours, then pick the best ones.

They did not give these guys full figures. They do not currently have them.

I'm really itching to get my hands on these guys, but yeah, a couple reviews would be nice to tide me over. Also, we usually see a review or two of a set not long before it gets released to the rest of us...usually...coughPaladincough

I have a feeling you wont see too many reviews on Quantron. I don't think BBTS and TfSource plan to hand out these gift sets for free to reviewers. They cost too much for that, plus they know Quantron is going to sell without youtube commercials (cough cough) I mean reviews.

This time the "reviewers" are gonna have to pay to play like the rest of us. :APPLAUSE:

My favorite reviewer is Baltmatrix because he actually pays for his figures. Theres no silly plug for a retailer at the beginning of his videos. If the figure sucks he tells you straight up it sucks and warns you not to buy it. He also transforms the figures starting from the mode they come packaged in. I love this because you can use it as a tutorial when a figure is overly complex. The other guys do the transformation backwards to show off "dynamic" glamour shots. Sometimes they skip the transformation altogether. It's like theyre saying, buy it and figure it out your damn self. We need more actual "reviewers" like Baltmatrix and less salesman like the other guys. I officially salute him.

Back on topic,

Quantron on preorder and looking forward to getting him in hand ! Need I say more ???

It's a test shot, not a release figure. Hopefully the joints and tolerances on the release will be a bit better.

It's a very promising review. It looks fantastic in real life. Albeit a bit wobbly incombined mode. Hopefully it tightens up.

Nice review. Great details on all of the figures and the colors are look fantastic. Overheat's transformation is cool. Though I wish they gave him a more G1 inspired head.

I guess I gotta eat my words. but if I was TFSource, I would have made this guy break out his wallet like everybody else. This figure speaks for itself, it doesn't need a glorified commercial to sell like hotcakes. Ill skip this commercial and wait for Balt or one of the other reviewers that are more unbiased to do an actual review. People who get figures for free tend to be biased on behalf of the retailer that hooks them up. That's my personal opinion.

I don't think TJ was biased in his review. It seemed pretty evident what is loose and not holding well. I believe he explained that these are not the final versions so I am not too concerned. I watch these to understand the transformations, details, colors, and how the figures will be. If they are final versions of the figures, then I also judge on the tightness of joints and panel alignment.

This will be the last third party combiner I will be buying in a longgggggg while..

After this, I'm going to take a wait and see approach with all of them and see how Hasbro's products measure up. No longer will I pre-order. Even if there is an EB special...
