This figure is M'eh at best.

I would buy this figure, only if it showed up in the next Michael Bay Transformer movie. Otherwise, I'll pass thanks.

Not sure if this is sarcasm or not...
Six Shot is probably one of the greatest figures from the end of G1 U.S. Airways and the beginning of the headmaster series. The looks of articulation on this surpasses the old Sixshot.

Please. This is just an updated version of the same design from the 1980's. More articulation at the expense of originality. Guess that means we should all go buy it. NO thanks! My original Six-Shot is plenty fine. I'm sure the next thing your going to say is he even killed Ultra Magnus. I doubt that.

I'll take one please. Then I'll take the Greatshot Repaint, the Shadow-whatever repaint, and the eventual G2-on-acid repaint.

I for one am excited as things develope for this and so far things are looking great! I never had an actual G1 but did score a reissue when release several years back. I think in all this time I have only transformed Sixshot into his gun mode once. It's okay but it's his least impressive mode IMHO. Anyone else keep that mode or transform to that mode often?

Sick, although it does look like the wolf mode is weakest for functionality in regards to the movement of the hind legs.

I just know that I would rather take this or an unoriginal design than a spider wire, spindly legged trash heap that Bay designed. As long as they don't have any glaring defects I am probably going to pick up one or two of them.

I kinda hope not. While I tolerate much in my collection, I was never a fan of "gun for the kiddies" alt-modes. Not to knock the characters, all of whom were curiously mega-awesome in the lore. But even when they played it off that they really did (or at least implied) turn into gigantic handguns, it still bugged me.

But it addes to the coolness that you can wield sixshot as a gun! Mass displacement to make everyone think its 'just' a weapon. I dig.

So this is your attitude on the whole classics/generations lines?

While I really like this, I still wish the swords weren't such a blatant ripoff of Generation Drift's.
Couldn't they come up with something new?

I'm absolutely in love with this figure! I honestly cant understand any of the hate toward it. While my G1 Sixshot is one of my most coveted figures, this figure is a classics dream come true. I never once fooled myself into thinking Hasbro could pull this off, and I never thought a 3rd party would even tackle this yet pull it off.
I stand corrected...
this will be going on my Decepticon classics shelf, replacing the G1...which will still be displayed with pride amongst my other G1 grails.

Such a crap video - the front view of each mode is obscured by the fade to the next form. I didn't get a decent look at anything.

I would rather redone homages to characters such as Sixshot than a constant supply of rehashed movie-versed. I think in the past 2 months we have had 20 versions of Optimus and 40 versions of Bumblebee. Right now they are up to fairy wing Optimus Prime with a nice color scheme. But I won't continue about the originality of those ideas
My only gripe about this will probably be the price

Well, it's true. It's true. They're semi-G1. They're quasi-G1. They're the margarine of G1. They're the Diet Coke of G1. Just one calorie, too articulated to be G1.
Just don't ask me to explain Masterpiece, as I don't think I could find a suitable Dr. Evil quote to paraphrase.
