The CG one is nice but a little too blocky in general, especially in the arms and legs. I'd like to see something based on Don's designs but of course an MP is supposed to be based on the cartoon. I just hope they include all the cool extras.
I still need to get a G1 Jetfire, he (and his Macross siblings) are amazingly cool.

That should be cartoon accurate enough for ya olokin.. I still say the CGI render and this custom need to be combined for a completely cool Masterpiece.. not too cartoony, and not too overly mecha-ish with detailing but not too much...
One thing I will note about this custom, besides the shorter legs, is that the designer should have made the booster Jetpack with the capability to slide up and lock into place on his back while in botmode, since the boosters are sticking out behind his legs and the top of the jetpack are effectively coming up from behind his head.. in this image the booster pack is sitting too low on his back..
still i would rather own a Masterpiece Skyfire then the classics Jetfire.. I'm turning into a completist, with a few choice figures from Unicron trilogy and RID, mainly collecting MP's, Movie lines, and Beast Wars reissues..

dude, not to undermine you or anything, but i did post this in the first page of this thread, with a link to the thrwad over at Tfans. Its Being built by Computron-x. is still not finished.
From what I can tell its using some Supreme Starsceam shins, and a pair of Unicron Hands.
Anyway, I think all a larger version of classics Jetfire with some small modifications would be a nice masterpiece.
Retractable hands. a few more joints in the legs. Slightly flatter feet for better poseability, and its a masterpiece.
