I got mine from a store called Movie Replicas located in Lucky Plaza on Orchard Road, i paid 139.99 singapore dollars which converts to £47. its not too bad but that store overcharges for everything. I decided to get MP megs from them because all the other places were sold out and in the end £47 for MP megs still beats £50 for 20th anniversary prime in england.
there was a good store i went to called The Falcons Hanger in Far East Plaza located on Scotts Road which is off Orchard road, the guy there was genuinely helpful he even told me when i was looking at loose KO's and didn't try to sell them off as the real ones (he has the full size devastator and Swoop KO's as well as others). he had the best price for MP megs which was 110 singapore dollars, which converts to £37. but he had none in stock and didn't know when he would be getting anymore.
there are about 3 anime/manga/ action figure related stores in Far East Plaza so i would say head there first, get the shop plan layout from the information desk and find the hobby shop section. i think that they are on 4th and 5th floors but not 2 sure.
Megs came out in singapore on the 29/03/07 and i got mine on 30/03/07 and in 1 day every where was sold out so i hope your parents have better luck finding him when they go there.
Hope that helps
wow Star Jammer,
didn't realize you guys from the UK came all the way down to SG (short for Singapore of course) just to get transformers?!
fantastic pics by the way & i know the shop you mentioned where you got your MP-5 coz the shop's located in the same building as my mom's shop! talk about a small world.
& you're also right about The Falcon's Hangar... great place to check out TFs.
& there's another place you guys should check out if ever down in SG & that is China Square Central (or CSC for short). i got my MP-5 from CSC.
quite a few independent toy shops within CSC & a few are pretty good to enquire about TFs as well. that place is also super crowded on Sundays because that's when they'd have flea markets going on & people will put their wares up for sale there.
if ever it's possible, maybe there's some chance the TF fans from overseas can meet up with the TF fans we have here in SG.
