truly deserves the title of masterpiece. hasnt been one like that since mp-10
Have you handled any of the ones in between, like Soundwave, Sideswipe and Wheeljack? Most are quite deserving of the title.
You forgot IaernHIDE!![]()

Yes I am Big Grim!!Big Grim wrote:I'm with you Dude. I like the silver over the grey and the red of the inner legs. At least since one of the Inferno 3p MPs. I was said in one of the Twincast Podcasts by Scotty P.

Do you mean that Takara poached designers from 3P companies? Or that some of their designers moonlight in in 3P?
It would make sense, not errybody is Yuki-ballin' rockstar statuswilliam-james88 wrote:The moonligh part. Look, thats what I (and everyone who listens to the podcast) heard and it makes sense that 3p companies know what's going on at takara if they are all releasing the same characters at the same time before Takara unveils theirs.Cyberpath wrote:Do you mean that Takara poached designers from 3P companies? Black Hat wrote:In fact I think MP-10 is worth mentioning here. MP-10, widely considered THE definitive transforming Optimus Prime, isn't THAT cartoon accurate.

Oh there is, and he's staying with me!! I may like his alt mode better based on the preliminary shots. When everything squishes together just right, it's gives you the feels.Alpha Dominus wrote:NOOOO!!! Why's everybody saying that? He's such a great looking figure. Can't there be enough room in your heart (and shelf) for both?Sigma Magnus wrote:Well, Apollyon, you're getting the boot! I still can't believe it took this long, but WOW am I excited for this!!

I wonder if he would have been MP-50 if not for the growing number of 3P Megatrons.
I think you have the cause and effect reversed. Once third-parties got word an MP Megatron 2.0 was in the works, they cranked out their own as quickly as possible.
Yeah, that makes more sense. Takara designers do work on 3p products too so they would know.

Has that been proven or speculation?
Answer to both, yes.nycPrime wrote:A couple of questions:
1) With the US imitation gun law, there needs to be an orange plug at the end of the barrel. I checked a listing of an older Megatron figure from BBTS, and they mentioned they would have to open the package and insert the plug to legally import the figure. Anyone know if these after-market plugs are easily removable?
2) If you order from a Japanese site like HLJ, do they do the same thing, or are you taking a risk that it won't be seized by customs?

Even my Apollyon torso that just shipped to me had the orange plug in the barrel. Twisted right out.
