Dagon wrote:Must be a slow news day, because this plug information was in the preorder announcements from BBTS and TFSource and pretty much everyone else, so this is several months old at this point.

Besides them having to open the box to install the plug, everyone would open the box anyway when the get it
Only a small number of resellers would have a complaint because the can't sell a sealed box. oh well, sucks to be them!

While it's old news that US buyers may get stuck with an orange cap, this is the first time that Australia has been mentioned as requiring the orange cap.
See, that's how you handle things diplomatically.

Since I'm an "asshat,"
I suppose it's only fitting that I find it hysterical that a throw away statement caused such fee-fee damage.

We're all asshats at some point in our lives.
Granted, but if my initial post was the work of being labeled an asshat, then the value has totally fallen out of that market. The fact that I got jumped on by a staff member for a throw away line is far more offensive than what I posted.Burn wrote:Dagon wrote:
As for it being removable, I was under the impression that those things had to be glued in.

Only one thing to do.Burn wrote:To me though, if it's a requirement for legal reasons, then I can't imagine removing it would be an easy thing.

My understanding could be wrong though. I remember from previous discussions though there was talk that they HAD to be glued in, things may have changed though.

Yes, it is supposed to be glued in, but there are no requirements for the glue used. Hence, some pop rigjt off, some are permanently bonded. Luck of the draw, really.

Last time some people had to use some remover to remove the glue and it damaged the plastic.

Which company used super glue? I hope they use Elmers Glue instead. Water soluble. If it was hlj why not email them this suggestion? If it's local/domestic importers, then by all means, email them now.
