Masterpiece Skywarp coloration

I don't know if anyone already has mentioned this, but I don't like the yellow eyes on Skywarp. First off all it's because it's not cartoonaccurate ofcourse. I do understand if they wanted to resemble the g1 toy accuracy but then why has Starscream red eyes? Because he also has yellow eyes, as you can see clearly on the g1 boxart. This puzzles me. Now you have 2 seekers with different colour of eyes. Perhaps they would have done the same like Grimlock, with his red/blue colouroption of eyes.

I couldn't remember the eye colour in the cartoon, but when i opened him I just thought 'that yellow is a bit odd'. But I don't really care, the purple is better than the othe versions so I'm happy with that!

If I remember correctly, Starscream was given red eyes while TC and SW were given yellow eyes in some of the comics as well (Dreamwave?), so you could go with that explanation. But as far as cartoon accuracy goes, a little detail like the eyes pales in comparison to the plethora of large toy colour details like the purple tail fins and large wing stripes. So, given the design differences between the cartoon model and the masterpiece seekers combined with the already cartoon inaccurate colour scheme, one extra little colour difference isn't going to make me take up arms...

...If anything, what I would most like to change is the "sword sheathes" that hang uselessly off the legs... I have really grown to dislike them. Now, if they actually held swords that would be a different story.

I was a little iffy about the yellow eyes when I first saw the pics, being used to seeing the Takara version. It was of course done to resemble the G1 toy rather than the cartoon model. I've grown used to it though, I think the yellow eyes go quite well with the rest of his color scheme.

That'd would've been so cool!

Just pop them off and put them on the lower leg. Looks so much better. On my SS I cut the ball joint peg off the hips.

After looking very hard at the colors of both figures, and knowing I will likely not find the WM exclusive MPSW, I decided to buy a Takara MPSW from ebay. I don't like having to do it that way, but I am happy. I like the Takara version quite a bit more, and the packaging is just far and away better-also, there is no way I would be able to get the Wal Mart version for $60. If they even come to MN, scalpers will get there first and jack up the price. The price I paid is less with shipping than what people are wanting for the American version, even at $60 plus shipping. People are asking 35 to 45 dollars just for shipping-all said and done I think that is silly.
