I know the Wal-Mart skywarp comes with the Megatron clamp correct?

Does the Tak version come with the clamp as well? I'm asking because I may buy this version online. The seller says no items are missing from the toy, but does not list the clamp as one of the included pieces?

The Takara version does come with it...mine did.

Do you like the Tak version better than Hasbro?

It would be a pain in the ass to by this and not get the clamp.... i guess i could try making one out of something? heh

I personally like the Takara version much better. I like the full gloss paint job, the added detailing, the all black jet mode (although I like the look of Tak's with the decals applied better as well,) and possibly most of all, you don't have to worry about the faction symbols facing the opposite way of the G1 deco MP Starscream...assuming the one you're looking at doesn't have them applied the "wrong" way already. I also like the shade of purple better on the Tak.

Now, do I like it $50+ better? Probably not...but if the price is anywhere near comparable, I like Tak's better, no question. You should ask about that clamp, though. I don't know why it'd be missing. I suppose it's small and potentially easy to lose, but it's not really something you mess around with a whole lot.

Also to what Kibble said (I have both Tak and the Wally MP Skywarp) the purples are not only different shades, but the purples on Wallywarp are inconsistent--his hands aren't the same shade as his tailfins, etc.

As an update, i ended up buying the Takara SkyWarp. It was $59 due to the bbts %15 off sale. I found it odd that they listed it as "complete" but made no mention of the clamp. They usualy list every item that comes with a toy. For example, the starscream masterpiece lists the clamp.

I'll just cross my fingers and hope for the best i guess heheh

If it's from BBTS and it says complete, I wouldn't worry too much. If it is missing you could probably just send them an email and they might be able to send you one or do something to make up for it. Congrats on your purchase.

Agreed. If BBTS says it is complete, then you should be fine. Everything the Takara version has, the WM version has. As far as one figure over the other, I like the Takara version better. I don't have any of the decals applied and I like it being completely black in Jet mode. I have the WM version displayed in bot mode, since I think the paint apps look very good. And even if the purples don't match, I like the tone of purple on the WM version a slight bit better.

I think you bought the better of the two though, so congrats! You also got a pretty good price it sounds like.
