Recently after Conan made a joke about Newark, NJ (See Sig) Mayor Booker Made a Video on Youtube saying how great Newark was, and how it Isn't that bad. Then he banned him from Newark Airport (and that's a bad thing how?) Puplicity Stunt of was he serious?

I'm fairly sure he can't actually put anyone on the No-Fly List, that's under the TSA/FAA and the Port Authority of NY/NJ. I'd call it a stunt.

It's a major international airport, and the second biggest in the area next to JFK International Airport. That's how it's a bad thing. It's a lot like being told you can't use a particular set of roads; getting from point A to point B doesn't become impossible, but it's much more of a hassle.

I for one LOVE Newark airport. Those people have security lines *down*. I used to fly in and out of there all the time. Plus, how can you not love an airport whose code is "EWR" (which is about what everyone says when they step out of the airport and look around).

As a former NJite, I have to say I'm kinda with the Mayor on this one. Let's face it, making fun of New Jersey? How lame!! I've heard every lame NJ joke ever made, and it's really just tiresome. I can understand the Mayor getting a little fed up with the NJ cheap shots. And shouldn't a high caliber comedian like Conan be able to do something funny and original and not just cheap shot the state everyone cheap shots?

I have Nothing Against Jersey, hell, I'm from there. But when I go there i go JFK. Newark is a bad town in a nice state. Here in AZ there are good and bad parts too. That's how the US is. It's Just a harmless joke though. All late talk show hosts take stabs at things. it was one joke that was blown out of perportion.
