Do you have any memories relating to specific figures in your collection that really have nothing to do with the figure or Transformers?

Here are some of mine:
1) Alternators Hot Rod. I had him boxed for months and months before opening him. I was saving him cos I knew I'd love him so kept opening potentially inferior figures ahead of him. Finally I was down to my last unopened TF when my girlfriend (of four years) and I decided to split at about 4am. I finally opened Hot Rod later that day and he was great company. He'll always be my 'break up TF'.

2) ROTF Legends Bee. One of my students gave it to me for xmas. I've had presents from students before but never a TF. It's the first time I've been given a TF as a surprise gift since I was 8. So when I pick him up I think of that student.

3) ROTF Knockout. I opened him last summer when I had swine flu. He's my pigflu TF.

So, how about you guys?

Well, to date the only TF given to me as a gift by a GF was Legends of Cybertron Prime, the black and light red one. She said it was because it was the only TF she could find she knew I didn't have yet.

For all of my summers, there's always a few things that remind me of it.
Whether it's a song or a book, whenever I see it, it makes me feel nostalgia.
Most of my Animated collection does this for me, as I got most of them last summer.

My Powermaster Optimus Prime along with Pounce and Wingspan reminds me of some happy memories with my dad. He was always a big war-gamer, even had some of his rules published. He often was trying to get me into war-gaming as well. One summer when I was spending a week at his house he came up with some rules using the Techspecs, dice, and cotton balls. I don't remember the game that much but I remember it being one of the closest moments my dad and I had together.

Oh man, I had to reply to this thread when I saw it. It's like you guys read my mind.

Over the weekend I was showing my girlfriend some of the figures that I haven't displayed in a while or are pretty old. She's bought me a ton of awesome stuff over the years we've been together, and I was waxing nostalgiac about some of the older figures I have and why they're important to me. And then I found my G1 Snapdragon. My dad bought it for me owing to a particularly solid report card in grade school, and I always had it kicking around someplace. After my dad died a couple years ago I embarked on a G1 restoration project of sorts, mainly just because I won an eBay lot of near complete G1s. My restoration plans eventually lead me to Snapdragon which was missing everything except Krunk.
I never finsihed restoring him, and I still need one of the white wings but never recall which one it is. I think it's the left one. But during my quest to restore Snapdragon I've felt like I'm still getting the chance to spend time with my dad, as odd as that may sound. Financial times being what they are, I can't spend the money on that wing piece, but someday I will I'm sure.
My girlfriend thought it was a cute story, at least.

My 25th anniversary Prime... I got him on clearance when my husband and I were on our honeymoon. Every time I look at it I think back to getting married and everything we did on our honeymoon. Those were some good times .

I love my Human Alliance Bumblebee. He reminds me of the time I spent living in Central PA during college. We had a tiny little apartment in South Williamsport that was barely big enough for the two of us. This Bumblebee was the first Transformer I bought there in Williamsport. I loved it out there. Every time I pick that Bumblebee up I'm always think of what a great part of my life that was.

This is what I came up with last night:
Mykltron and Michellatron are siblings (that way your husband doesn't need to be jealous about our 'combining/joining' fantasy!) who were supposed to be one but got divided during the creation process.

Mykltron transforms into a ground vehicle and is the stronger, Michellatron transforms into a jet and is the faster thinker and more intelligent.

They can combine in three ways: (1) Mykltron as the lower half, giving them the ability to run fast (2) Mykltron as the top half with formidable arm strength (3) Michellatron as a jet backpack.

They have a telepathic link and often finish each others sentences, even if they're talking to different bots in different rooms on different topics, much to the confusion of others.
