Hey gang...Just wondering if anyone has been out looking for movie toys...I have not but of course I always take a look to see what i see...picked up two of the 70 pc puzzles at Target in Rochester Hills...one is the autobot team(I like that one alot, very cartoony but with movie look) and the other is the blackout and scorpy. They both come witht he stickers...

I am at work today so I dont have any pics right now but let me know if you guys want pics and I will take some after work today....

Also I have been thinking about opening a comic shop and as I am an IT guy I was thinking about offering computer repair, what do you guys think about that?

Welcome to the michigan thread! we're the only state that has their own thread in the toy forum. as for the comic shop... that apparently is the dream job of half the people on that post in this thread :grin:

Yes it is a dream of ours the difference is that my wife-to-be and I have been seriously considering it for some time now. I have always wanted to work for myself and I still want to do computers I am just not sure it would be a great Idea to mix the two in one store...

last night i went to the biglots by my work and found wave 3 of the ML showdown figures. i grabbed goblin, surfer, elektra(white) and juggernaut. i just need the red elektra grey beast thor and venom. the first 2 i dont really care about but whatever. they had a crapload so if anyone needs any of those tell me and i will get them for you.

i would venture that there is a high enough correlation between people who buy comics/toys and computer saviness that it probably wouldn't work too well together ... though that high correlation may mean that they come to you for high-end parts and such, but it's hard to compete with the big boys online price wise.

as was my thought...however...if I could get the not so savy into the comic shop maybe just maybe we could intorduce people that may not know there are comics for everyone to the comic book world!

I am stopping there on my way home then!!LOL

I am at between martin and 11 mile at Grosbeck...I lived about two blocks from where I live now growing up but moved to Fraser in 3rd grade. I moved back to Roseville 2 years ago when I got my first house.

Not far at all, in fact when I moved to Fraser we lived at 13 and Hayes but closer to masonic...I know that area well

Its always nice to find fellow collectors in your area...seems there are not many of us around the area, but that could just be me.

have you been collecting the transformers comics? what shop do you go to?

I used to go there but I have been going to Bobs Comics on grosbeck just south of 696....awsome guys there! I go there mostly cause its on my way home.

Do you go to wal mart much for toys? also Meijer has a ton of cyberton toys I have not seen in some time at the Fraser local. Saw both Vector Primes there last Sat.

heads up boys and girls, toysrus.com has transformers shipped free on their site. most of the items are priced higher than normal, but they also have a 10 off 30 if you pay by google checkout (supposedly all members, not only new ones).

looks like the best deal is on the titanium rodimus.
rc13, you can stock up.

my first trip to ireland I'll be in a town called Coleraine. It's in northern ireland. they have an Argos there. I looked up transformers on their website. they have Alt ravage listed there. 19.99.. of course, that's pounds sterling.. so it's actually like 39.99.. so, if I don't find a ravage in arkansas, I might as well order it from BBTS :grin:

btw... I'm listening to TF: The Movie on my ipod while I work(and yes, I consider posting on seibertron work, cos if anyone walks by my cube quickly, it looks like I'm working :wink:

yeah.. I work for a software company.. I used to do support, lately I've been traveling the country(and soon.. the WORLD!!!! Bwa-hah-hah!) installing and training newspapers on our software. it is nice to be able to surf the net all day at work :grin:
