center rd. flint target had their Prime figs out. just deluxes and voyagers. they had 2 clifs 2 bbs and a wheeljack and 2 optimus left

I grabbed a Voyager Prime from the Wonderland Walmart in Livonia. It was the only Voyager they had along with two Bumblebees and one Wheeljack. Optimus is very disappointing. I think I prefer the Deluxe I have from SDCC. And the gun he comes with is just stupid. I keep having to convince myself not to throw it out.

And a fun little story: The comic book store I go to required my expertise to identify and organize a fairly large G1 collection they had just acquired. The collection was about 70% of series 1 and 2 along with about 40% of series 3. Most of the pieces had boxes or cards and some of the boxes had inserts. I got to handle one of the nicest boxed G1 Primes and Megatrons I've ever seen. I even got to handle a sealed Ultra Magnus in a C-8+ box! I might have to try to make an offer on that one before it ends up on ebay. Not everything was in such great shape, but it was still a lot of fun. When I was finished, there was a big bag of parts and instructions that didn't go to any of the figures present. That bag was given to me as part of my compensation. It's always nice to have a big bag of spare G1 parts. Included in the bag was a Blaster gun and a Jetfire gun clip! The gun clip was the only Jetfire piece in the bag so it was quite the pleasant surprise.

Well, I broke down and eBayed an First Edition Optimus Prime last night. I really just didn't like the looks of the RiD one. I also got these today!

Well, I had a nice little adventure today. I finally picked up the large Kre-O Optimus set. Got it for $29.99! TRU clearance plus the $2 off sale and a coupon I found online! As ridiculous as it sounds, it feels like a big weight off my shoulders. Other than that, Livonia TRU also had three Movie Trilogy Optimus Primes. That was actually the only movie toy that's piqued my interest since ROTF Sideswipe. However, at $35 it's an easy pass.

From there, I hit Livonia Meijer and picked up a Prime Voyager Megatron. It was the only one they had and they have them at $19.99 so, yeah. I also broke down and bought the Sentinel Prime Bot Shot(s) ($3.99). I don't even know if I'm going to open it. I might just resell it. I just couldn't pass up his "super"-ness any longer. ARGH!

Speaking of Bot Shots, I spotted the 3-packs at Wonderland Walmart. $9 seems like a decent deal for those but I'm seriously trying to resist getting all crazy into these things for now.

Add to that some 3DS goodness along the way and I'm a pretty big fan of today. The only thing that would have made it better would have been coming home to Runabout waiting for me on the porch. Alas, it was not to be so I''l settle for what I got. Good luck out there, everybody!

Okay, so Megatron is just slightly better than Optimus. First impression right out of the box, he feels really flimsy. And I don't understand why either of them have translucent forearms. It just looks ridiculous on both of them. Megatron's transformation is satisfyingly challenging but the alt mode is just bleh and it's really hard to figure out exactly how to position some of the bits. At least he can see where he's going, I guess. Oh well, he isn't going to be spending much time in that mode anyway. Now, I'm still not a fan of the MechTech-esque weapons carrying over into this line (I actually never bought any DOTM toys so I don't know if those were any better) but Megatron's weapon is far superior to Optimus's awful cannon mess. The goldish color really brings out some of the color accents on Megatron's body (hands, knees, feet) and it serves fairly well as an arm cannon. The press-and-hold feature is just as annoying and the light is just as useless as with Optimus's gun but at least it looks good attached to him. Not really sure why I felt like posting a review, but there you have it.

Also, I just noticed the Bot Shots are made in Vietnam. Interesting....

I know they shot down a bunch of movie stuff that was supposed to be coming out here. I think during Toy Fair they made some announcements? I don't remember if that one specifically was among them.

Target on Carpenter Road in Ann Arbor had RiD Ratchet and Arcee. I picked up the Ratchet. Left the Arcee for now. Will probably still end up getting it. Ratchet is pretty cool. Wish his blades were a harder plastic though. They're softer than Drift's sword.

I got the Arcee last week at one of the Flint Targets. She is definately worth buying. I like her even more than the 1st edition, even though the color is a little light..

Stopped in the Miller rd. Target on my way to work and saw they did their aisle reset. Grabbed the only Ratchet they had. Now I gotta wait till after work to check him out. Going to be a long night..

Seriously though, wasn't nice to see that aisle all done up and stocked with figs?

Livonia Target had their stuff reset, too. Either they didn't have the wave 2 deluxes or they were the only ones that sold. I saw everything but. Even Soundwave.

FYI Ratchet and Arcee are only 1 per box each, so they were probably picked up right away. Seems like they would want to put more of the new figs per case in the new waves.

Yep, I am aware. By my count, they either had one wave one case or two wave 2 cases with a bunch sold.

Roseville target TRU and walmart all reset as of this morning. unfortunately i couldnt find a Prime deluxe ratchet though. target had a deluxe cliff and bees as well a couple prime primes and the tiny movie op with trailer. TRU had a cliff, jack and bees alond with more movie optimi and walmart had a couple prime primes on an endcap and 2 of the botshot autobot 3 packs but no deluxes on account of being overfull of DOTM deluxes.

They need to throw all those DOTM toys in a landfill like they did with the Atari ET game back in the 80's.

Got it today. It seems to be a pretty decent quality plus it comes with a couple of mechtech weapons. Its intended for the DOTM voyager Prime which I don't have. Here it is with battle blades Prime. It does not have a hole for the trailer hitch so it is popped up a little in the front at least until I mod it but it looks pretty great to me. Very happy with it. I'd say if your gonna spend $30 on the movie trilogy deluxe just go with this instead.

miejers in roseville had a couple voyager primes from teh RID line sunday and roseville TRU had full restock of the prime line this morning. primes, megatrons, a box of deluxes and cyberverse line so i saw a bunch of vehicons. no deluxe ratchet for me though. :<

I was at Roseville TRU today looking for the Cyberverse Commanders. No luck.
