If he's still there on Friday, I'll grab him! I'd go tomorrow but I'm taking my truck in for new brakes and will pretty much be at the mercy of the dealership unless I can bribe my mother to lend me her station wagon.

thanks DW. i dont know how many times i had strongarm in my hand and put him back on the shelve for something thats still on the shelves now. and dont you live on my side of town? we should get together for a toy hunt or something if you do.


on a side note, i am packing up my non-show cybertron figures. but i need some small bags for the minicon sets. where can i find small bags like that? one of my coworkers suggested dollar stores.anyone know anywhere else i could find them?

Anyone going to the Detroit Auto Show??? I can hardly wait *bouncing with excitement* I'm planning a gathering for opening day, and will be going a second time (not sure what day yet though). Is it the 19th yet?!

A friend and I were planning to but finally vetoed the idea because January was just getting too busy.

I am, however, going to be trying for Xtravacon, weather permitting. I even found a 'date' who agreed that $3 is exceptionally cheap for any form of, well, anything these days. Hopefully there'll be something there to interest her.

Oh, and ionacus, I asked nicely and I get the station wagon for some 'errands' tomorrow.

The zip-lock-type snack bags are pretty much the perfect size for that kind of thing. You can usually find them at any drug store (Walgreen's, Rite Aid, etc.) and the generic brands are usually pretty cheap.

Yeah, I usually use the Kroger "snack" bags for Micromasters, Minicons, and any other TFs small enough to fit in them.

Not much new going on. Got my car running again Tues, thank goodness. It's times like this that make me wish that I had a nice girlfriend with her own car...so I can at least get a ride to work.

Found Allspark Legend Ironhide/Desert Blackout yesterday, didn't see anything else. This was at the Taylor WM.

thats what my sister said this morning. i will be hitting CVS in a little bit. now i just have to find the backs to the cybertron minicon sets so i can put the right sets together.

I picked up 4 (in addition to the 3 I already had MOSC) more G.I. Joe comic packs so now I only need 2 more to get a Doc. Hurray over priced mail away figures!

I snagged the Evolutions Clone Trooper to Storm Trooper and The Sith packs, a Darth Vader & Boba Fett keychain set, UGH Animated Debut Boba Fett, 2x Mighty Mugs Boba Fett and a Boba Fett bobblehead. (see a trend here?!)

I sent tfsource a large majority of my old BBTS pre-orders.

Encore Sky Lynx, e-Hobby black Ironhide, Encore Jazz, Quint-02 - Quint-05, WST Jungle Warrior + Myster Figure, WST Stocking Stuffer Campaign 2007 and a Justitoys MP Optimus Prime trailer to go with the 3rd DVD Edition Optimus Prime I picked up at Wal-Mart for $35 last Saturday.

The 2 Cliffjumpers I ordered from HTS should be showing up soon and I picked up most of the rest of the TAC figures. I'm only missing McQuarrie Han and Rebel Trooper to have a complete set.

Mmm...the auto show *drools*. By the way, I'm a little new to the larger Transformers community. I've only been to Transformerscon last year. Can someone tell me about Xtravacon?

It's a small comic and toy convention that is held on a semi-monthly basis in Livonia. It also serves as a sort of informal meet-up/hang-out for us Michiganders. Some of us set up tables, some of us go to buy or trade, and some go just to hang out. It's always loads of fun and the next one is January 20. You can find more specific information about it here.

Whew... just waiting on a ride and I can go pick up my truck. Ended up with one more problem than I was expecting, but also one less (back brakes were okay, front calipers were not).

Got my hair cut and no longer resemble a shaggy dog, picked up Strongarm for ionacus and Skyblast for myself and then did 'the loop' of stores in Fort Gratiot. Looked like Meijer was starting to reset their toy department, TRU had reset but was empty, but Wally's... Wally's had two First Strike Primes and an Offroad Ironhide. All three came home with me (after a quick text to a friend to see if he wanted the other Prime). Other than that they had a ton of old deluxes (like Wreckage and 70's Bee) and old FABs.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a Nightwatch Prime will show up in the next week or so.
