I got MP Skywarp, 2 BT clear Mirages(teehee...I held on to my preorders), and a few Titaniums today too!

So are any of you members of the GI Joe CC willing to order me a Sig 6 Red Ninja, if they'll be available there?

I just would like to say that is is good to be back on the interwebs, I was in the hospitol for almost a week and was going crazy over no internet. I know there is a KofC con comming up, hoping I am ok enough to go, will the usual suspects be there (looking at you noob!)

I heart the minimates, got most of the DC C3 ones except the Manbat set, a few Marvel and love them. Anyone willing to sell some could contact me, as I am missing all of the new DC ones and really want the SDCC John Stewart. Did anyone buy the Marvel Zombies set? And if so was anything wrong with your Wolverine.

Star Wars heaven at Walmart on Ford Rd. today...

I walk in the toy section, notive one of those ladder carts there stacked with HASBRO boxes. I ignore 'em at first, cause we know there are no new TFs coming to this Walmart ever, and I'm right, they have no new TFs. On the shelf I see an open Star Wars box and figures around it.

I look at them and about mess the drawers...Animated Fett, Animated Fett gold coin, Gold coin McFarlane Chewie, Gold coin Airborne Clone (x2), and so much more.

I start looking and throwing guys in a box. Then I take a look at the ladder, and notice it has open boxes on it, fresh, no one has pulled a one out. I start looking through them, and there walks up my wife, who also out of pure coincidence stopped at Walmart on the way home.

Then an employee lady came around and took a look at me. She came up and asked if I needed help with anything. I said nope, I'm finding all I want, she looks at the boxes, looks at me and asks if I'm an employee. I say no-- a little small talk, and then she gets the lilt-- "Are you a collector?" She asks looking a little concerned.

I answer, "Just a little bit."


She looks at the boxes obviously thinking bad things about me. Then she asks if she can put those back for me, and I say, "No thanks, I'm going to buy them."

She looks at me again, and says, "Do they have price tags on them? If they don't they probably won't scan, and we'll have to take them back from you."

I nod my head, and watch her wheel the ladder cart, and boxes off. Laura and I hang out a little bit longer, and then we head to another section.

Laura sees the woman watching us, and thinks we are 'in trouble'.

I ask how we could be, I'm buying them, and I just pulled them off the shelf mainly, even though, I looked in the open boxes.

Bottom line, I walk up to the register strage queezy feeling in the pit of my stomach. If they don't ring up, am I going to raise a stink. Or am I just going to let it go, and chalk this up to bad luck.

Smiling politely at the cashier as she rings up my non-SW purchases, I start sweating.

Moment of truth. One rings up, the next...and the next...and finally, they all do.


Whew! I'm out with some new SW guys to add to the collection and sell this weekend too. Screw you protector of Walmart stock, I bought them!!!

Wish I would have grabbed more...

Andrew if Red Ninja S6 comes to the GI JOE shop I'll grab you one, for 200% of the sale price!!!

well if people are wanting to get rid of minimates, i kinda want the iron man related ones ... just those at the moment. don't want to start another series and iron man stark was #100 on the toy fare list.

I walked into my local K-Mart today, because I was bored, and wasn't expecting to see anything new. Low and behold I saw the first new toy I've seen in 2 weeks, a voyager megs. I had no interest in purchasing it, but it was nice to see it at least.

As for an update on my personal life, I've decided to go on ahead and ask her to homecoming tomorrow when I see her after our choir class. By this time tomorrow, I will either be a little depressed but will get over it, or no longer single. Really, I have nothing to lose. Wish me luck!

I started with the C3 stuff. I missed out on the second C3 wave. When they were super hard to find I just gave up on Minimates until they released Blue Beetle and Booster Gold in the DC Direct set. Now I'm totally hooked. I try to pick up older stuff when I can but there have been sooooo many new releases lately. Marvel Zombies, Marvel Wave 16, Star Trek, Battle Star Gallactica Wave 2, and DCD wave 5 all within a few weeks. That hurt the old bank account. There was nothing wrong with my Zombies pack but I have heard plenty of reports about broken Spider-Men legs and missing Wolverine arms. Depending on where you got them from, you should be able to get a replacement through the retailer or from DST.

On another note, I went to Meijer at 96 & Middlebelt tonight and they were stocking the toy aisles. No Transformers, but I did see a few Star Wars cases. It might be worth a look for somebody.

On yet another note, who was it at the last con that was interested in the keychain light I have? I was just thinking about that and I can check Party City to see if they have more if said concerned party is still interested.

I was surprised to see the Belleville Meijer had put out a few more things since yesterday, including 3 deluxe figures (1 Brawl, and 2 Wreckage), and a bunch of the robot heroes (Rodimus/Insecticon x3, Mirage/Starscream x4, and Optimus/Ravage x2). They also added lots of the real gear figurines -- Booster x5, Spy Shot x3, Longview x4, and Powerup x4. And the two Alternators Skids were still there.

On my Wolverine the torso doesn't sit on the peg right, it keeps wanting to pop up. I hope to be there Sunday if I am feeling up to it so if there are extra MMs left I would love to get my grubby hands on them. I still need to get The Booster Gold/ Blue Beetle set, and of course am jazzed about the Lobo / Ambush Bug set. Now I don't have to make one out of my spare "Free Comic Book Day" blank minimates.

God Magnus.. I think it was Tfpredaking that was interested in that keychain light. my guess if you found some more and brought them to the con, there would be some interested parties

I've got to get ready for the con. I'm going through my Marvel legends tonight. I'll have a crapload of loose figures if anyone is interested.

i actually grabbed a couple of those lights recently to send to a customizer. they're readily available in the 2 dollar trees in ann arbor, the ones by stadium fyi.

at the last con, shouting match guy was selling classic jetfires at $10.

I've seen Classic Jetfire and Prime at the Wal-Mart (Woodhaven) and at the TRU (Southgate) by me.

I scored a Longarm at TRU in Okemos today so now I finally have 1 of each deluxe. I still need a 2nd Concept Bumblebee and Longarm :p

Other than Longarm TRU didn't have any other deluxes. They did have a Voyager Optimus Prime, Megatron and a dozen Leader Class Brawls.

They did have a few of the TRU Exclusive TIE Interceptor's at $35. I'm not sure if I want one or not.

Target in Okemos had 5 G1 Jazz and a few Starscreams but nothing else worth mentioning.

Last night the Target in South Lansing had NOTHING!

At the South Lansing Meijer I picked up Darth Vader's TIE Advanced Starfighter. I have been looking for one in good shape for months!

::Whew:: No picketing for me this weekend. The Chrysler and Ford contracts are on "indefinite extension", which probably means that things will be tied up by of the month. Ford is supposedly already done, it will just take a week or so to finalize everything.

well, tonight was a good night. Hung out with PQP. We toured the family dollars and I found 1 Galaxy Force Optimus Prime!! I had seen the thread someone posted about them the other day. It took a few trys, but I found one. I stopped at the Canton Meijer. There were some pallets out. I found an unopened case of Wave 4 TAC Star Wars. I made sure there were no employees around, opened the case. Ha Ha! McQuarrie Vader!!! I also grabbed a CZ-4 for PQP. There were a two UGH figures in there. don't know which ones. I also left the Animated Fett. Predaking, don't worry... PQP has a couple.. he'll probably sell you one.

it looks like each family dollar is only getting on box, which has 1 GF prime and one metroplex. I did notice they have some robomaster KO two packs. there's actually KO's of Star Saber and Victory Leo. some also have the KOs of Defensor and Superion. they are pretty decent quality for KOs
