Anyone gonna watch Bionic Woman?
It comes on tonight and I'm considering giving it a chance. I'm afraid it's gonna be bimbo-y and oversexual, but if they can make it somewhat serious and badass I might give it a go. Lately female heroines are nothing but eye candy, with no substance whatsoever. I like bionic stuff, so we'll see. Please don't screw up!
Oh, and WHY OH WHY does Isiah Washington have to be in this? Pugh.

Oh no. The heroines have plenty of substance. All of their substance just so happens to be in their chest.

QFT. That's hilarious. But anyway, I'm also hoping this show will be good...ashame I have no cable. Guess I'll have to wait for the DVDs. I least if it sucks, I won't have to bother!

It didn't completely suck. I barely watch any scripted shows anymore and I took the time to watch this. It was pretty good. And you can watch the episodes on nbc's website.

Man, I start a thread about the new Bionic Woman and get ignored.

Half the people on here probably still think I'm male, so it might have something to do with the show premiering tonight.

It premiered on demand almost a month ago.
So, I can still be upset over it

Saw it. Wasn't exactly impressed, but not let down either. The fight at the end was really, really great. I was impressed by that part, and that one only.
I think it might have some potential if they keep a good set of writers on it.
I agree...Isiah Washington shouldn't be anywhere near TV, movies, whatever. He's a prick. A pull no punches (which I can respect) prick though.
The one show tonight that showed a *lot* of promise...Life. I cannot wait for next Wednesday night. Fo' shizzle.

I didn't know much about Life and so I skipped it. Yeah, Bionic Woman wasn't super great, but it wasn't bad either. And yes, that fight was awesome. I wonder if they are going to put any humor into it, because it has the potential to be funny as well.

I only watch a select number of scripted shows, because I have to keep up with them. And Desperate Housewives is one (it's FINALLY coming back) and....wow, I don't watch much primetime tv anymore. Used to watch Grey's til it became too soapy even for me. I gave Heroes a chance but it bored me to tears. I might watch Dirty Sexy Money. It got excellent reviews.

No, I hate almost all of reality tv, unless it involves something that is constructive. I love shows about flipping houses, but I don't particularly like stuff like Trading Spaces. I don't like anything that has bimbos, like stuff of E!. I'm not really into game shows, either. I like talk shows a lot, though. Everything is hit or miss with me.

I used to til I bought myself a computer. I guess I prefer the interactivity with the internet... Oh, and I also love Discovery, History, National Geographic, and TLC channels. Good stuff.
Chuck...I don't know. Is it really that good?

As Brian and Stewie said at the Emmys...TV is crap. I can't really find anything redeeming about much of today's television. It's all prepackaged, fake, disgusting, completely hollow and has no conscience to it.
The only shows that are entertaining, even just a little bit...are as follows:
Family Guy (though it's quickly losing any quality it had. The Star Wars episode saved it from certain doom in my eyes.)
Mythbusters
Burn Notice (though I'm really, really angry that it's a summer only show, so almost an entire year before season two. Smooth move USA, that's a genius move...NOT.)
Psych (finally, a show that's enjoyable. Funny, serious and full of mystery. Handles all three genres quite well.)
Life (new favorite, as of tonight)
'Til Death (absolutely hilarious, the season premiere was so good it makes me sad I missed the first season.)
Stargate Atlantis (ahh, one of the best sci-fi shows...ever.)
Robot Chicken (doggone it, there's some hard work in that show. Super quality.)
Beyond those shows, I don't really watch much TV. And once those shows hit the re-run area...I have next to nothing to watch on TV anymore. =\ But...it does entertain when I have nothing else.

Not blown away, but I kinda dug it. Doesn't exactly match Alias but I'll give it a few more episodes.
