Motto: "Collecting little transforming action figures is the right of all sentient Geeks."
Weapon: Indepentently Targetable Particle Beam Cannons
The very early releases of him came with mouth. The latter ones came with the faceplate covering the mouth. Why they decided to do that I don't know, but they were both releases. At least in the US. don't know about anywhere else though.

To tell the difference between the two varients without destroying the box, just look for a small bit of numbers press stamped into the box, that's the one without the mouth.

I beleive only the US version ever had a mouth. Then hasbro realised this made a crap toy even craper, and reverted to the Japanese mold for latter issues of E Prime.

I second that. Even though he had a weight problem, his combinations with Wing Saber and Omega Supreme ruled.

Yeah, the early versions had the mouth. I think it changed when the following wave hit.

That's right, hes combinations was just sweet, actually i feel that they was better than Cybertron Optimus's combinations.

I have allso a little plan with ordering the Takara version of Wing Saber and Energon Grand Convoy, Convoy with that silver brest-plate looks sweet, and i allways wanted a Energon Wing Saber, so why not the Superlink version ? :-P

Energon is just the best of the new series if you ask me!

Actually, the 'weight problem' is mostly due to the fenders on his sides and the rear wheel unit on his back. If you were able to somehow strip those away, He'll look like.
