I did! I have the regular Mark III and the silver centurion/Target Exclusive. I haven't decided to open them or not yet. I really want to get the War Machine/Stealth Ops figure too!
Has anyone else noticed blatantly crappy paint apps???!!! There are a couple minor things on my two that I can live with, but literally every other figure I've seen has had really really poor paint. Faded gold/silver by the knees, smudged silver 'rivets' on the chest, gold/silver paint on the mask smearing on to the helmet, etc..... I'm really disappointed with the paint quality I've been seeing. I hope when I finally my coveted Stealth Operations Iron Man armor (aka War machine) that I can get one with good paint that will actually be worth buying....

My Prototype armor has a few smudges nothing earth breaking, but a
few.
Still no sign of Wal-Mart exclusive Stealth Armor. I'm going to take a look in the other Wal-Mart near me which happens to be a Supercenter see if they have it.
But so far they are just overflowing with Mach 5 cars from the Speedracer movie.
There are like 20 different sizes and styles and gimmicks for the same freaking car. Are they really necessary?
Hopefully I can find the armor today.

Well I hope you did find one there OC, he is by far the best one of the group in my opinion.
I've managed to snag the mark1 and mark 3 and who daddy, do they suck. Rubber joints, poor paint aps and a lack of any mobility.
Wow. I'm looking at my super punch Monger in a whole new light.

I finally got "War Machine" (that's what I'm calling him any way) this weekend! I had to wade through all of them to find one with OK paint though - man the QC on this line sucks...

I haven't found any yet. My Wal-Mart seems to not carry their own exclusives.

Wal-Mart sucks at exclusives. I never found Ravage or Rumble alts, or MPSS. The only reason I found this one for IM is because I was about 200 miles from home visiting friends and stopped in to a WalMart for the heck of it... (middle freakin' Iowa no less....)

Looks good, And I'm still looking for the Stealth Armor. The only thing left of Iron Man Merchandise on my Walmart's Shelves now is the big honking Role play blaster.
I hope they restock something soon. I was really looking forward to the Stealth Armor. Guess I'll have to find it online somewhere if it doesn't show up soon.

The Prototype Ironman Mark 3 is the better figure so far. If you were to choose one movie Ironman figure I'd go with him. I know I did!

What do you mean by the prototype Mark III armor? The only prototype is the Mark II armor. Unless you mean the Mark III figure with the removable pieces which really isn't prototype armor.

It's part of Hasbro's messed-up labeling.
Technically, the Mk.II was the prototype of Mk.III, so the toy was misnamed.

The Armor with the Removable parts, and interchangeable pieces is the Iron Man Prototype Armor according to the label on the box.
It is in Fact a Mark III. But its official name is "Prototype"
And I reviewed it in the first page of this thread.
Then there's the regular Mark III Red and Gold normal.
The Mark II which is the all Silver one with 2 blasters.
and the Mark I which is the big metallic looking bulky one. Not to be confused with Iron Monger.

Any comparison pics with ML Iron Man or any other Marvel legend for that matter? I'm pretty curious if he's ML scale compatible.

The Iron Man series just happens to be the first time I bought super-hero figures, and I must admit i am impressed. I have all of the figures so far, 'cept the Target Exclusive. I somehow got Wal-mart Exclusive at a Hobby store, but it was at 2x inflation.. took it anyway.
Does anyone know if this toy series is going to continue.. like maybe.. y'know they might have... War Machine?

Which Iron Monger is the better one? I'm thinking of getting him and I remember reading somewhere that one wasn't that great but the other one was, I just don't remember if it was the opening cockpit one of the fist attack.
"What are you?" That's what the woman asked me. Am I some sort of ghost? I still move. I still breathe. I'm still alive.

The Walmart Exclusive Stealth Operations Suit is as close to a War Machine as we are going to get which is pretty close too.
Maybe in the toy line for Iron Man 2.

Re: Iron Man Movie "Prototype" Figure Review (Now with pics)
hey gang, I just bought the Iron Monger 2 toy, with the opening chest version. And while my previous posts have been mostly bad for this entire line, let me say... this toy falls into the same bloody category.
The posability is awesome. It's got most of the standard leg joints from the rest of the line and the arms stay the same. I love how I can turn the one leg! But sadly, the special feature ruins it.
It's got the opening chest feature. It come with the main figure and 2 seperate pieces. The head and shoulders and then the chest. They all have little tiny tabs that are supposed to fit into grooves so these pieces can flip out but still remain attached. Well....
I ended up breaking off all of the tabs on not only 1 but 2 seperate versions. Yep, it was hard for me to get the shoulder tab in. There was no slot to fit it in and the only way I could see was to force it. The chest piece's tabs were so flimsy they snapped off as soon as I put it in and then when I opened the chest on my second one.
Even then, I got them all together, sure I was missing pieces and the toy was now broken, but I wanted to see how it all looked. Well... the pieces didn't want to stay connected. there was a tab for the chest to lock into the shoulders and it never wanted to stay. The spring loaded head of Jeff Bridges kept pushing the shoulders out.
I was looking forward to this toy, especially after the leg of IMonger 1. I was thinking maybe if I found another one, I could cut the human head off and maybe the pieces would lock together. But that still doesn't solve the problem of getting them into place. To top things off, there were no instructions. You get pieces that don't want to fit together and no idea how to do it.
If this has only happened to my guys, then I'm sorry for this bad review. I just hope it's my bad luck and not another reason to forget this line.

I really don't like the look of those figures. I'm content with my figures from the animated Iron-Man series from the 90s
