Hopefully someone can help. I recently purchased a MIB G1 pre-rub Megatron off of eBay and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the plastic inserts packet was still sealed! However, it's also hard to tell if all of the inserts are indeed inside the baggy. What you can see is the folded sticker sheet and then in between it I can definitely see the red tech spec decoder, at least one catalog and what looks like a white sheet of paper that I am hoping is the P-38 accessory assembly sheet. What I need to know is whether I'm correct about it being that sheet (or was the assembly found outside of the baggy) and if Megatron's colored instruction manual was also packaged inside the baggy. PLEASE HELP!!!

I'll raise a question too. Did the pre-rub Megatron have the spec decoding dookickey already? Was that included in the box?

As for your problem, why not just open the sealed bag? End of your problem 'cause I personally believe MISB are a crime against the civil liberties of all Cybertronians.

The red tech spec decoder is sealed up inside the baggy in between Megatron's sticker sheet. I'm trying to find out if anybody knows whether the white accessory assembly sheet and Megatron's colored instructions are also in there.

However, there's no way that I'm going to open the baggy to find out. I've talked to quite a few collectors and none of them have come across a baggy that was still sealed before. Basically what I have is a hybrid between a MISB and MIB Megatron. I open and display a lot of pieces but this is too scarce of item to do something like that with. I'd rather go ahead and buy another MIB Megatron instead opening this one's contents.

Come on boardies - somebody has to know whether all of the G1 inserts came sealed or not.

Hm, I purchased mine as MIB, not MISB. So I don't know whether it will help you are not. These are the contents that came with mine. Scroll down to R-10 and compared with yours:

I don't know about G1 Megatron, however my MIB G1 Motormaster at home still has his baggy fully sealed with everything inside it. Nothing else is loose in the box only the figure on his original card. As I originally bought him as MISB, I'm fairly certain the bag hasn't been re-sealed. If Megatron is the same as Motormaster then, in theory, everything should be in that one sealed bag.

Aside being the pre rub ver.,it should be the same. Unless its a hodgepodge of a "re-assembled" MISB?

It absolutely had the tech spec decoder pre-rub. I may not remember the seperate sheet for assembling the accessories at all (bear with me, I bought and opened my G1 Megs in June 84, so maybe I forgot about it) but I do remember it having the little clear red plastic sheet. The only TF's of that era I remember not having it were the carded ones like minibots and cassettes.

For everyone else, I am fully aware what inserts are supposed to come with a G1 Megatron. I'm simply trying to find out whether or not all of his inserts came sealed in the baggy or if his instructions were separate. Magnus seems pretty sure they were all sealed. If anybody DEFINITELY knows for sure that they were all sealed leave a reply.
