Does anyone else just leave this guy in robot mode? Transforming him back into his mixer truck mode is absolutely freakin frustrating. I've had him for awhile and have had the patience to transform him maybe three times?? Just venting...

I just leave him in robot mode because I don't really like transforming my movie toys

The arms are tricky, But once you figure out the right steps to swiveling the mixing drum arm panels he isn't that bad.

I've left all my RotF toys in Robot Mode..... transforming them back into Vehicle mode feels like I'm scrapping paint or breaking parts... rather not do that.

For some reason, Mixmaster is the only one that gives me a freakin coronary - I can transform all my ROTF toys - even Prime - w/o a problem, but this guy...

Yeah dude - IMHO, he's the Rubik's Cube of the ROTF line - maybe I'm just retarded...

Yeah, I agree with you guys. It wasn't too bad to get him into robot mode, but it took me almost 20 minutes to get him back into mixer mode. Getting the mixer back into shape is the hard part. Just like all the ROTF figures, it takes a few times to get it down.

I personally leave him in robot mode cuz I love how he looks. At first I was skeptical of his long arms. Now, I love them, especially with the armor plates that frame his arms.

I have the original movie mixy and just got the Back road brawl set with G1 colors on mixy and he came in robot mode in that set and just transformed into battle which is not bad to transformed, but still took me about 10mins to get him in that mode mostly because of the instructions are not that clear...

Well, I can solve Rubik's cubes, so Mixmaster can't be too hard.

Edit: So, I got him yesterday.
He wasn't hard at all.
Just a lot of fiddly bits.

He's a figure you really have to think to transform. Not like most figures where you just line up the vehicle parts and you're done, Mixmaster requires some planning.

My thoughts exactly! I'd like to see how much trouble Mixmaster's transformation design can be. I read similar things before about RotF Leader Optimus Prime and some of the BT/Alternators figures but the horror stories seemed much worse than what I experienced.

To be honest, I've never even tried to transform him back into the cement truck. I display most of my stuff in bot mode anyway.

I just finished transforming this figure and then I come here and see this thread.

It took me about 20 minutes to transform him without instructions. I had MP Megatron figured out in 20 minutes with instructions. Not anywhere near the same level of complexity, but Mixmaster did take me awhile.

the only tricky part i found with mixmaster was setting up his feet in vehicle mode so the truck cab will fold in place. Took me 45 mins the third time changing him to figure out I had his chest section in the wrong place. that aside, he is one of my favorites in the current ROTF voyager line that i have bought so far. I find it fun setting his shoulder/arm section together to finish robot mode. fold/press/fold and you are finished.

Same here. I have him sitting on my PC right above me, in robot mode. He's the center piece to my movie collection.

which now outnumbers my G1 collection. :grin:

I currnetly have the G1 colored version in mixer mode and it took forever to get him that way. I'm planning on keeping him that way too

It's easy for me to transform him. However, I leave him in Robot on display. He's got some wicked sick articulation.

That is totally right. He requires planning.

I do have mine in bot mode though. I think he looks better that way. Also, the constructicons are out of scale with the rest of the movie line so much so that it kind of bothers me. As individual toys I love them though.
