I don't understand the need for the 6th member based on this image. I thought the purpose of the 6th member was to make up a chest, head, or waist piece for the Predaking. But this shadowy image looks like he's just sitting on Predaking's shoulder.

I don't think that was ever discussed, at least here. The intent by MMC, as stated much earlier in this thread, was to allow Divebomb to provide some more bulk for the figure and include the sixth, in the form of a Saber-tooth Tiger similar to Rampage in design, to form the Divebomb arm. It was going to be completely optional.

Divebomb is still the arm here, you can see his bird head on the left shoulder. That's our mysterious sixth sitting on top of Predaking.

The purpose is to remind people that they have a sixth member, this does not show off the actual combined mode with all six Predacons. That mode will have Divebomb attached to the back while our mysterious sixth forms the left arm.

The claws are really coming out between these thrid party companies (pun intended).

Razorclaw does look a little fat, but I get why that needed to happen. Have to say I think his lion mode legs could use some beefing up if that's the body it has to support.

Come on MMC, can we get those wheels turning a little faster, please?

I use "our" in the sense of it's something we're all beholding, I don't mean to indicate I'm involved with MMC. That would be fantastic.

Man, if it was powerglide and they were fooling with us all along.....that would be pretty funny actually.

Is the sabertooth tiger fact or speculation? There have been a lot of speculations in this thread, sorry, just trying to sort out what is what.

It's confirmed to be a saber-toothed tiger (ignoring the fact that there's no such thing) and it's confirmed to be an existing TF character, and it's someone who traditionally had a sabertooth body, not a random other character in a new body. They haven't formally told us who it is but that narrows it down to a whopping two characters.

Well, the only ones I remember discussing were all Autobots (or one Maximal in Tigertron). Catilla was a Saber Toothed Pretender. Grotusque (oh, the pun!) was a winged Saber Toothed Monsterbot (which makes me think of the Maximal Tigerhawk). The only other one I remember speculating about was Ravage, but he wasn't a Sabertooth Tiger, though he almost looked like one in Beast Wars. (Maybe he stayed in a Holiday Inn Express.)

And there was a link to this post on TFW. It appears to be the same gun that goes on Divebomb's forearm in combined mode, presumably made of the guns of each figure.

I was a little disappointed with Talons colours (only the chest), but this is terrible! Truly ugly :-(

Now I'm thinking twice about these guys for the first time. Fingers crossed there really is a third option...

I like the colors, I don't like how the lower beast legs attach by a flimsy hinge, and I'm worried about the colors of the combined product because these are both very busy decos. I'm still on board, but I need to see the rest. And I hope these don't drop before June, or I might not be able to afford them. ><

Good catch, I didn't notice that... I wonder if MMC will and make the change? It would be nice to have the proper color scheme.

I don't know. The orange is a little light, but I don't think I'd call it yellow. Between lighting (or photoshopping) and monitor color differences we may not be seeing true color value.

I think it looks great! I cannot wait to get the first of these.

That's a LOT light.

But you're right, there could just be a difference in the pics. Compare this guy to the same promo type pics of Not-Divebomb, and you see a distinct difference in the image sharpness etc.

I'm hoping his main body colors are closer to the orange on Divebomb.

Yeah it's gonna be herculese height and if i remember right divebomb was said said to be about 7"?
