I think a saber-tooth tiger was a weak choice. Too similar to Rampage. Could even be just a retool with fangs and new colors. 2 big cats are enough. They should have chosen a Gorilla or a Bear. And the funny thing is that Rhinos and Bulls eat mostly grass and shrubs so MMC really didn't have to stay slavish to carnivorous animals for their mystery character. Not to mention using an extinct animal is kind of silly with the others being animals that still exist.

I thought MMC had said a long time ago that the sixth member would be based off of Tigris and would be totally optional. :-?

All we have is just a silhouette for Felisaber and MMC has mentioned it before that the mold will be based on Tigris. This is an optional member and using the base mold will lower the cost of the figure. Also, complain to the original creators of the Predacons regarding the Rhino/Buffalo characters if you're really irked about them being called "Predacons"... >:oP

So I missed the part about it would be based of the Rampage mold, big whoop...All Im saying is if MMC wanted to make a 6th member, dont you think a bear or a gorilla would have been awesome ? That would sell like hotcakes over some lazy retool.

X, I seem to remember you making this argument back when MMC announced that it would be a re-molded/repainted cat. I'm remembering talk of gorillas, and maybe even a Hippo? :-?

Also, in the Not-Arcee thread, I saw MMC's FB page (linked by diamchoc, thans sir!), complete with release dates; some even pretty specific. I think the first one here comes out in August.

That's the entire point of it.
1. It's a Rampage retool so it's cheap, since only the first run pays for the mold.
2. By virtue of sharing the mold, it allows the combined Predaking to appear more symmetrical.
3. Divebomb now becomes the entire backpack, not just his wings, so no partsforming.

We were made privy to most/all of this information a good while back.

Someone mentioned color scheme.....orange, yellow, and black? Duh?

I wonder if the lack of numbering on the original 5 preds is indicative that they haven't settled on a final order.

I just noticed on MMC's website that R-07 Felisaber (the sixth member) will be an exclusive at Planet Steel Express :-x

Planet Steel Express. I was just at their website, and they appear to deal in MMC product exclusively (though not limited to exclusives. You can get Hexatron there, for instance.) Think Fans Project Core to Fans Project, though I have no experience on their customer service or what relationship they have, if any, with MMC.

For me personally (and I've seen some echo this) it comes down to two factors. The first is reliability/trust. I have done business with BBTS and Captured Prey and trust them completely. (I think it was TFSource that had hacking of their billing system. Same for the TFCC. So them I have less trust in.) I have absolutely no experience with PSX and hadn't heard of them until this thread. The second reason is the Pile of Loot feature. I can order a bunch of stuff, have it add to my pile of loot, and save on shipping costs when I am ready to ship my pile of loot. Plus, BBTS is like an hour away from me, so I always get stuff the next business day when I ship my loot.

If WfC Omega Supreme (Genesis, if I remember correctly) had been at BBTS, I might well have him now. (I gotta work on my impulse buys.)

I understand why MMC is doing this so they don't make extra stock that is unnecessary. However, as was stated here, with most of the mold already paid for with the original figure, it really is only material cost on the re-paint/slight remold. I would think that a run half of the previous figure run would have no trouble selling out, and they would likely sell more than just going through PSX. Just my gut feeling there, though.

PlanetSteelExpress or PSX is the new store that was just launched, and is the primary store for MMC products. The Super Nova Hexatron was launched through it and quite a number of folks have good feedback from them. Think of PSX as like Toyworld's 3rdpartystore, or TFC to RK, and Maketoys to Upgradecommander. FPC leaves a bad taste in the mouth for quite a lot of people.

As per MMC reps, if you buy from the store, you're basically supporting MMC more, as they get a better percentage with the sales. This also means that you'll get it cheaper from them, albeit, you won't be able to make sure of POL/Stack compared to BBTS/TFS. It's all up to you to choose. Just note that some figures will definitely be only available via PSX.

A note of about PlanetSteelExpress, I received the first item I purchased from them. My Super Nova Hexatron arrived in a beat-up shipping box without any packing/insulating materials to protect the item. Fortunately there wasn't too much damage to the Hexatron box itself. So unless they improve their shipping/packing process don't expect your purchase to arrive mint.
