Something different: Generation 2 Firecracker. The original toy was cast in translucent red, allowing you to see some sculpted details lie his arms through the car body. To try and copy that effect, I created a bunch pf techy bot details, and sandwiched them between a glossy two-tone paint job (iirc) and a partially transparent mask.

Th end effect is that, under certain lighting conditions, you can see the internal components of his robot mode, but under other conditions, you just see a firey red-orange paint job.

This was an extremely simple one, but I think it looks nice. Maybe needs something more though. Barbed wire? Thorns? Tribal tatts?
