I was fortunate enough to see this figure in person today (a shop I know of tends to acquire figures through...naughty means); he looks excellent, and close up he looks a little less like something out of Evangelion.

It didn't occur to me until I read your post Diem, But Banzai-Tron is totally Unit 1
My want for him grew exponentially. I'm glad I have a Botcon hook-up this year. I needs him

I was never a fan of Banzai-tron; the ridiculousness of his name turned me off. But I know there's a lot of Banzai-fans (Banzaites? The name is kind of silly, but I loved that they incorporated Martial Arts Mythology into the TF universe. Master of Metallikato for the win!

I'm really impressed with the 09 Banzai-Tron repaint.
