Me too. Before the movie was released, I was really hoping Chromia and Ironhide would have developed some kind of camaraderie in the movie, as old comrades in arms or something. Unfortunately, Bay decided there was no space for further character development (was there ever any character development in the movie at all to begin with?) and turned her into some kind of remote-controlled avatar for Arcee.

I'm not too familiar with Cybertronian reproduction, but if it's anything like us earthlings, I doubt there's any possibility for anything to go on between OP and Elita-1, at least in the movie-verse. I mean, check out the size difference. Ever seen a chihuahua mate with an Alsatian before? Never? My point, exactly :P

She DID die in Reign of Starscream, and while I've really been enjoying the IDW comics, including the movie-verse ones, it's pretty clear that what goes on in the comics has no bearing on what Hasbro and Bay and the movie writers choose to do.
It's really the opposite. Look at Fracture being included in the movie-verse comics, really just because Hasbro decided to market her as a movie-verse toy, instead of the classics line she was intended to be part of.

 I don't think we'll see any TF romance in Bay's TF.

No, man, most people just don't get it. Bay is a real deep and soulful artist. The numerous explosions, running, shouting, and face-giving in Transformers symbolizes the unquantifiable experience of true unconditional love between a boy and his girl.

Or a boy and his robot.

Or a chihuahua and a bulldog.

Or Megatron and The Fallen.

True. If he can't handle human romance, how much worse would he be with TF romance?
Sorry, but spinning a camera 1000 times in the golden sunlight around a boy and a girl who have absolutely no chemistry as they poorly pretend to fumble around the use of the word "love" for 5 minutes does not romance make.

Hey, just because you don't understand the inherent beauty of the dom/sub relationship, doesn't mean you should criticize Megatron and the Fallen's lifestyle choices, the one time they finally let their guard down about them.

I have a strange feeling we might be seeing floats of Megatron and The Fallen on the Gay Pride Day parade one of these days....

Spinning camera scenes are to Bay what doves are to John Woo, and he's pretty damn proud of it. I can see a great future for Mike in the adult video business...

Seriously? As long as the female is larger than the male, yeah, it's possible. If it's the other way around.... The male husky could be walking around afterwards with a shrieking dachshund-shaped penile sheath.

As long as they said something in the movie, yes. If memory serves, Brawl/Devastator wasn't credited in the first movie due to lack of lines. All he did was grunt and sound pissed off.

Oh, you meant what was the name they placed on the credits for the bike sisters as in "Optimus Prime = Peter Cullen, Megatron = Frank Welker"? I thought you were asking if they had separate names, or even a name at all. My bad.

In any case I wouldn't know; like everyone else, I was jostling out of the cinema by the time the credits rolled.

But whatever the movie calls them, Hasbro usually comes up with its own non-canon name and bio, anyways. Remember Brawl? He was called Devastator in the movie, but his figure was named Brawl again, as was the case in the TF video game.

I didn't have much of a choice in staying, in any case. My girlfriend was grabbing me by the wrist and pulling me toward the exit, and she has long, varnished talons--...I mean fingernails :) Yeah, she wasn't exactly a fan of the movie, and wanted out as soon as it was over.

Sure... but many people rely solely on Seibertron as their source of Transformers news and rumours, and - although these details have been published on other sites - I had yet to see mention of it here.

Yeah, people like me. I'm glad they're still kicking the idea around. I was REALLY disappointed in the Arcee Twins (um, weren't there 3?) character(s) in the movie & their pathetically small roll. But again, Bay not a big character development kinda director. I think the most character development I've ever seen in any of his movies was Pearl Harbor.

The "Arcee Twins" line in the movie refers to the Arcee units (as in, they're one single entity split into three bodies) and the Twins Skids and Mudflap.
