Hi all,
I got a NIB movie G1-repaint Starscream a few days ago, and noticed immediately that his missile racks were loose in the extended position; w/ all the missiles in place, they would flop back and forth instead of pointing straight. Since this was a new toy, never played with, I knew it could not be from wear and tear. Has anyone else had this problem?
I fixed them today by flipping them around in their respective slots. It looks like they may have been installed backwards, as the hinge hole is offset, so there's a thicker edge to the mount that gives a better interference fit when open. The closed position is unaffected, still tight. Easy to do, simply flip them all the way forward, and use a small flat tool to pry them out. Turn them over and re-install. Just an FYI in case yours has the same problem.
FWIW I really like this repaint, but I can't explain why the different head mold- if it resembled G1 SS, I could understand, but this one? Might be fun to get a G1-styled SS head, "movie-fy" it a bit, and use that.
Thx, HTH someone.

Might have been a small batch of G1 SS repaints that had that problem, because I didn't have that problem on mine.
As for the head, maybe they wanted it look like the Thundercracker repaint. Hopefully, there are plans to make a Skywarp repaint.
