It will be a difficult job using tin cans.

its called "flashing", it's generally used for construction. the air vents on your roof are probably made out of them.

i made this in about 15 minutes, it s probably not even accurate, i was just playing with the material to see if its suitable.
I'm going to be remaking this, i'll use the model kit peices and duplicate them with the sheet metal flashing.

I have a question for yall, do you guys want to see the "bent metal" effect on this prime? like the side doors and some of his arm peices. I personally don't dig that, but it would make it look a whole lot more like the movie version.

also, does anyone know where i can get a hold of some joints? right now all i have is wire : / not very good for transforming.

Try Bionicles toys. But it's made of plastic.

I second Bionicles and add MegaBloks NeoShifters.

Bionicles provide balljoints, NeoShifters provide Ball-and-disc hinges.

if your willing to spend a few bucks you could use the hinges on the metal lamps

you could get 1-5 similar ones at the white elephant/goodwill
