movie style RHINOX

Got a great pic of G1 Op or BW Megs? Whether it's 2-D or 3-D it's welcome as is any other form of art outside the custom figure world.

movie style RHINOX

Postby RagingBull » Tue Nov 06, 2007 6:53 am

i present movie style Rhinox!

iv paid little nods to the origional Rhinox, the teeth chest (not actualy teeth here just metal spikes) the spikes on the legs, the forearms and yeah you could prolly look at it and say oh yeah thats on the origional i see it.

alot of the blank spaces you see are rhino skin, didnt want to color it grey coz i didnt wanna end up changing my mind about something and then creating a mess wen i rub it out

well enjoy

comments and critisism welcome

cheers guys, hope you enjoy

Nice detailed pencils! I thought Rhinox should be more bulky. But its still nice art.

I'm really liking these designs, but I notice you use the same pose for each one. One foot is always 90degrees to the other one. Have you tried drawing more angles but aren't as confident with them, or have you not yet tried? I really would suggest some more variation in poses, I want to see more designs but unless theres a bit variation the whole cast together would look a bit samey.
Other than that one criticism I have to say I really do enjoy seeing these. I grew up on Beast Wars & It's nice to see some appreciation for the cast in the new movie-verse.

Yeah, I was the 3 year old staring at his TV when Beast Wars came on.
Love these designs, but Rhinox is a bit skinny.
I second the pose request.

Shuddup, you're making me sound mean now :P
It wasn't requesting it, I was offering advice to help this artist improve his/her skills, so XP

Very nice, but he does need to be a bit more squate and barrel-chested for the Rhynox look.

hey guys,

atm the im using a body template and then adding parts on top of it, when i first draw a bunch of characters i like to get a "uniform look" so that later down the track when i want to draw action or hero type poses iv got a base to work with.

im more of a technical drawer (yet im studying business arnt i confused hahaha) so i like to get my base down first. im still getting comfortable drawing these movie designs. in the past when iv drawn the blocky lookin characters its easier but now with so many parts to contend with, im still getting used to the style.

cheers for the comments
