Postby Dinobot2 » Mon Nov 29, 2010 10:35 pm

Im collecting the Transformers movie toys and Im curious as to what the best ones are to get in terms of size scale and what not

To me it seems like the Deluxe and Voyager lines are the best

maybe the Leader and Human Aliance lines too but idk

It really depends on what YOU want. I "specialize" in movie toys here so I am happy to help fellow movie fans.
But here are the things to consider:
1. Is scale a big issue here?- If you say "yes" to that then the leader class figures are for you. I believe all leader classes are in scale and not too big. You may want the vehicles to all be in scale with each other on your "battlefield". I usually recommend going with all in-scale figures but it is totally up to you. If you're solely into this, then skip Human Alliance. Also, not all characters are made into scale with the rest such as Frenzy, Scalpel, Wheelie, etc. Some may have a few scales but usually the largest is the correct scale. Exceptions would include legends and deluxe Ravage and the legends and deluxe Arcee sisters, where the larger ones are way out of scale.
2. Is money the main issue?- If so just go for the figures that really catch your eye or just the smallest scale ones.
3. What are my absolute favorite characters?- Okay, so for example maybe you really really love Bumblebee, like me. If so it would be a good idea to get HA Bumblebee, since he has a lot of detail and is enlarged from deluxe size, making him a nice collector item. You might even want to go for all the scales of a figure if you're a big enough fan.
4. Is movie accuracy a factor?- If you really like to have figures that reflect their characters, go for the movie accurate paint jobs and molds and get them in in-scale classes. If you really just want to focus on the actual movie cast then make sure you get all the cast members first when they come out instead of getting non-movie characters.
Well, there you go. Feel free to ask me about any movie figures because I'm glad to help.
Please note: If you think I may be joking, I probably am.
