Doubtful, if this was reaching for a new audience why make it a remake, just make something new, it's not a hard concept. Or if they really want to milk the dead horse, make it a sequel set a little while later

You wouldn't want to watch scenes like this again:
or this:

I just saw The Martian. Highly recommend it. Very good story about perseverance and using survival skills.

I wondered if it would be any good, I only watched the trailer once and that was in the theatre.
I think I might give up on the Limitless TV series, two weeks in and it's not really done anything to grab my attention. Blindspot has potential. And Heroes Reborn just feels like later seasons of Heroes, which ... were not good.

I suggest you boycott Martian because Matt Damon does not care about gay people.

Well there's always The Blacklist, Sleepy Hollow, Scorpion, Gotham, NCIS New Orleans which have all started back up! + The Flash & Arrow will be starting back up soon also! or there's new shows like Quantico, The Player, Minority Report ect.

I find that doubtful. He is a typical Hollywood liberal.

It was similar to Cast Away, with some exceptions, obviously (lots of 70s disco music). When I got home, I decided to watch Interstellar, and it was weird to see Matt Damon play a bad guy in that movie after seeing The Martian.Burn wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I just saw The Martian. Is it anything like the movie? Because the movie was very boring.I think I might give up on the Limitless TV series, two weeks in and it's not really done anything to grab my attention.

What did you think of that pile of crap?

I haven't watched it, but given you and I tend to agree on movies a lot, I think I'll pass now.

Exactly that. A pile of crap. A 3 hour long borefest. I was really hoping for some interesting space travel ideas, and the whole environmental demise would have been easier to get through. And ghosts? Really? I did give it a shot because of Matthew McConaughey, but he's been more miss than hit lately.Burn wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:When I got home, I decided to watch Interstellar, and it was weird to see Matt Damon play a bad guy in that movie after seeing The Martian.

Yeah, it was a mess. I mean, maybe boring is not the right word. It was a convoluted mess, made me keep asking myself "what the hell is happening now?" And it was all dialogue. All the action you saw was in the trailers. Is it anything like the movie? Because the movie was very boring.

October is usually reserved for scary movies, so I don't think I'll be going back to the theater until November, when Spectre starts playing. Unless my theater will play the original Halloween again, like they've done the last 2-3 years. BTTF II is supposed to come to theaters for a week, the year being 2015, so if it does, I'm gonna see that as well.
Until then, Longmire season 4 and Walking Dead season 5 (no, I haven't seen it yet), here I come.

Looks interesting, actually. I do have a feeling that there won't be nearly as much action as the preview leads on.Stuartmaximus wrote:

Your WRONG! coz i've just watched the first two episodes! & they were very action packed! which is funny....coz it's made by the same people that made The Blacklist! & that show isn't always very action orientated(although definitely has tension).
Speaking of action packed......the latest episode of Continuum certainly was all that(season 4 episode 5), but the sad thing is....it's nearly at the end of it's run! as there's only one episode left to go(sniff).....https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Continuum_(TV_series)

What's next? A James Bond series? Bourne series? Pirates Of The Caribbean series? or even a Jurassic Park/World series? where does it end!

Well there's talk of more Men in Black movies (calling it a "reboot") and a MacGuyver TV series.
So don't expect original ideas any time soon.

I'd like to recommend this original show:

I am funny, but not for not wanting to rewatch a children's cartoon I've seen before. Even if I had all the time in the world, which I don't, I'd rather watch a few other TV shows I haven't seen instead. Here's a few on my to do list.
The Wire
Orange is the New Black
Metalacolypse
Breaking Bad
House of Cards
The last two seasons of Mad Men
The last few seasons of Archer.
Catching Up on Doctor Who
Classic Doctor Who
Star Trek
Narcos
All the other crap in my Netflix queue That I don't remember adding

Breaking Bad
House of Cards
The last few seasons of Archer.
Is that a generalization, or are you referring to The Original Series?Star Trek
I haven't seen it yet, but I have heard good things.Narcos
I also seem to be suffering from this affliction. All the other crap in my Netflix queue That I don't remember adding

The original series for starters, and maybe the others if I can work my way through them.

I've seen TOS, some of TNG and all of Voyager. I heard DS9 and Enterprise are turds. I barely made it through Voyager, even with Jeri Ryan to look at, so I doubt I could watch DS9 or Enterprise all the way through. It Is Him wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:Is that a generalization, or are you referring to The Original Series? It Is Him wrote:Star Trek
