I must admit I'm not all that impressed, cosidering he's a Masterpeice figure. His robot mode has too much of the gun mode about it. The gun barrel on his back is too long, the legs and arms are too flat and the fusion cannon is too big.

It looks like a scaled up version of the original toy. MP Prime looked fantastic in robot mode at the expense of the alt mode and I would have preferred them to do the same thing with this one.

As a regualr toy he's great, as a Masterpeice figure I'm not so sure.

I agree a bit of artistic licence on the gun mode would have worked well, they could have muscled out the gun to give a more solid looking bot and we'd still have had a decent looking gun (manybe without the legal issues in the USA) and an even greater robot!! as it stands the robot mode is somewhat compromised from the constraints of the real gun mode as in the original toy but we do have a real type gun. I personally would have preferred a beefed up 'compromised' gun and an incredible robo. i still like it even if he looks like hed have a catty evil laugh now rather than a booming voice.

Sorry that I didn't include a picture of his back. I can tell you that his back is very neat and tidy just like MP Convoy. The only thing that hangs from his back are two little vertical pieces which transformer into the sides of the gun (these parts are found right under the barrel of the gun). But these pieces do not hinder his appearance at all. Very little kibble.

I spoke to a rep at Ages 3 & Up today. He said their unaltered MP Megatrons would ship at the end of April.

Can't wait!

I would like to report that in one day, MP Megatron has sold out in three toy stores that I have visited in Nagoya, Japan.

No, this is the fastest of any Transformer that I have seen sell out, (not including event exclusives).

I just visited 3 more toy stores this morning. He is all gone!

I'm still waiting for BBTS to update their site w/a section saying "MP Megatron Now in Stock!!" I just put the money in my account today, so I'm just waiting for them to get him, put their damn orange cap on, & get to me damn it!!!!! How long is it gonna take to apply each cap anyway? Yes, I'm getting the capped version, that way I don't get it confiscated. I prefer to acquire it legally, thank you very much.
