Just got back into collecting and feel torn on which 1 to get, will the nostalgia last or will the appreciation for refinery and new technology last longer????
So heres the dilemma, g1 prime original in nice box complete vs mib mp-04 since they are roughly the same price??
On a side note i have mp-01 but i want the trailer and being mp-01,the 1st masterpiece i want to keep him.

Personally I would go for Encore Convoy, satisfies the nostalgia urge and in minty goodness.

Then go for Justitoys MP trailer, nicely priced and will compliment your existing MP-01. On the down side it doesn't transform.

Or you could go with the iGear MP trailer, fully transfomable and based on the THS-02 design, but to date it hasn't gone into production nor has anyone reviewed it.

I have MP-04 and while the transforming trailer is kind of cool, I really never display it in base mode. The only time it ever comes out is when Prime is in alt mode. I also have the Justitoys trailer and it works just as well for alt mode.
Going this route you can have both for about the same price.

MP-04...then you can display one in alt mode with the trailer and have the other in bot mode.

If you have an MP Prime there's no point buying another. Look for the trailer only.
Do you really need a mint in box G1 Prime or could you make do with a cheaper one with something missing?
El duque's suggestion seems sound, but as encore is not exactly the same as the original an imcomplete G1 may satisfy.
