You are correct. It's the "prize" for collecting all of those points they've been going on and on about.

I have the stand from the DVD version of Masterpiece Optimus, and I just don't use it. It's currently collecting dust. Methinks I shall repaint it and repurpose it for my Masterpiece Rodimus Prime.

I can't wait for him to be released. The other Masterpieces, I was always chomping at the bit for them to be released, but I could wait for the inevitable and cheaper Hasbro release.

I had to import Megatron because he was only available through TakaraTomy, but Rodimus? I'm actually choosing to get him from TakaraTomy.

Forget the rumors of Hasbro neutering it, I just want it THAT bad. I can't believe I'm willing to do it, but I am.

If Hasbro's releasing Targetmaster Rodimus, I personally believe Takara will do it first. I don't ever recall Hasbro making Masterpiece parts from scratch.

Well do you object to all of the other times such transformation "tricks" have been done before? Do you object to the fact that both Classics Prime and Masterpiece Prime have two grills? Do you object to Binaltech/Alternator Track's bot mode which has a fake car roof and windshield on his chest?

Such "tricks" are often necessary compromises considering the impossible constraints the designers are working with.

The windshields for Hot Rod and Roddimus's vehicle modes are different shapes. Just what else could the Takara engineers have done? The only alternative would be to resort to detachable kibble, which is less creative and would draw even more complaints from fans.

I wish they would have found some way to make Rodimus much bigger than Hot Rod. But, you know what? I recognize they had difficult choices to make. In order to achieve my wish, they would have had to compromise on something else and the final product may not be as good as what they have now. Overall I cannot complain with what they have done.

My only REAL complaint about the Masterpiece line concerns the Seeker Hip Kibble. I really do think they could have integrated the tail fin and vertical stabilizer into the back or into the leg somehow, much like iGear plans to do with the coneheads.

The difference is that they incorporate the extra parts. You could technicaly make him transform into optimus prime, if they made a trailer with the red cab and let only hot rods wheels stick out. Would you not abject to that.

Anyway, now we can see how "clever" the designers incorporated their "More than Meets the Eye" transformation gimmick. Wherein FP adds the front car as a cab, Takara used Hotrod in a similar but opposite manner. Really clever and enough to quiet up the naysayers.

I'm honestly not sure how this newly releases info is at all related to my distaste for the extra Rodimus hood. :???:

Wow he even has the goggles he used when Daniel said there was a hole in the Autobot Shuttle thats a nice touch. when did he use the Plasma welder was it in the movie

@ jesterhead, give it time and it will sink into you. What I'm concerned of now is the price.
