I got what I paid for with my MP Sideswipe as I believe it to have been a cheeky 'factory reject' which had its waist pinned in the wrong way around, so I had to knock that pin out and swap it back!
I did here about there being two types of packaging as you mentioned, but never saw the package with robot mode?

They look the same on the outside, it's just the figure is in robot mode inside, and I'm guessing then the inner bubble is different.
Also, what about the red Alert repaint? Did that have any problems?

I read about some people complaining about this when Sideswipe was 1st released. I wasn't sure if it was a common or recurring problem.
