As for the how many SW in of a case, it could be three to four to a case.

Pissed that MP Soundwave never came into stock at TRU.com. I trolled the site from midnight on Wednesday until the time it said it was sold out. Several times I had the item in my cart and went to check-out and pay, only to find that I had no item in my cart. What a joke. C'mon Hasbro, you know these figures are popular, how about making more of them to meet consumer demand! I barely got an Acid Storm!

It didn't "never" come into stock. It seems it being in stock was sporadic, and quite horribly managed on TRU's part. But it was available. Hell, I just got the e-mail from them confirming shipping:

Mine has made it to my state, at least. The tracking shows it about an hour's drive east of me, even though the place it shipped from is to the west. True, the city it is currently in has a UPS hub... but so does the city in which I live!

Ah, well. Tracking still has it on target for a delivery on Tuesday. (It said three business days... Even though I ordered it at 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, I guess the day it was ordered on doesn't count.) So... 750 miles in one day, and four more days (granted, two of them are the weekend) for the last 60 miles.

But hey, I shouldn't complain too much. At least I was able to get one! Ah, the joys of First World problems.

My Soundwave and Acid Storm shipped earlier this afternoon. Scheduled for delivery next Thursday. Not really sure why I'm excited, I already have the Takara Soundwave and tapes, plus an obscene about of MP Seekers. Fist world problems indeed!

I know your not like that but it kinda came off that way. Not trying to start crap but it genuinely hurt me to read your post. If you didn't care and already spent the money for the Tamara version, why'd you have to take one more of these off the market?

My apologies, it was not my intention to come across that way. I know this whole situation has caused a lot frustration, and the last thing I want to do is antagonize those who weren't able to get him yet.

To answer the question of why I also wanted the Hasbro version: When it comes to the MP line I like to display the figure in both modes, so if Hasbro offers the mold as well it's a nice way for me to get a second version for a lower cost. Not to mention there are usually at least a few little differences between the Takara and Hasbro versions.

I can see how my comment might have come across as "elitist and douchey", especially to those who have no version of the mold, so again I apologize if anyone took it that way. The bottom line is I am genuinely excited to get these two!

I don't know what the market is like where you live, but I know everyone in my neck of the woods was ultimately able to get last year's MP Optimus Prime either on-line or at retail. I know I saw him in store on at least three separate occasions, multiples no less. I truly hope, everyone who wants a Soundwave and crew can get one. Best of luck!

No hard feelings @El Duque. I know you're a good guy. I just spent the morning hunting again and came home to that it it just rubbed me the wrong way. Thanks for the kind words. No hard feelings. I've a few leads this week so my fingers are crossed.

Note to they guys I saw on Thursday on Airport HWY in Toledo, I was told yesterday to check back on Tuesday and Wednesday.

They're not lying, though. It is not available in store or online right now. Their full allotment will begin shipping in mid/late August to both stores and the online. Only a limited amount were released by Hasbro for SDCC and the special TRU sale on the 18th.

There are many more coming to retail, both online and in store. Some distribution centers have 1500 of Soundwave due to arrive. Now, granted, that has to cover several states and many stores, but some stores should receive multiple cases.

And that's just what is known. There might be a second shipment coming, much like they did with Optimus last year. I highly doubt that such an in demand item will be shortchanged. I could be wrong, I'm not perfect, but I think TRU's going to milk this for all it's worth.
