Since this is a topic of fixes.

Anyone have the problem where you eject the chest and the tape doesn't fall forward and just stays stuck in the chest?

Its like the spring is weak or something?

You need to lean him backward a little bit when you put the cassettes in and you have to lean him a little forward when ejecting him. It's a common problem. It's even illustrated in the Japanese instructions. (The tilt back part is anyway.)
